Natalia Vodianova’s Vogue US May 2009 By Steven Meisel

Natalia Vodianova is one of the nine Supers of The Moment as covered by Vogue US in their traditional models May issue. Being on the very front cover, even if she’s 27-year old and a mother of two three (thank you Irina!) is something remarkable in the fashion world, so tough and exigent with beginners.

Natalia Vodianova
’s pictorial, however, is as stunning as her presence on the cover, even if she’s not really one of the models with most ad campaigns and fashion coverage. (the story continues right after the jump! Don’t miss the gallery with Natalia Vodianova’s pictures from Vogue US May 2009!)

Kate Moss ft JT, MJ By Annie Leibovitz In Vogue US May 2009

Kate Moss was definitely crowned Fashion Royalty by the Fashion Magazines of the World. This is just another example of how adored she is! But what a beautiful example!

Annie Leibovitz’ photography is always fairy-tale-ish to me and I’ll always feel mesmerized by her story-telling lenses! She could photograph a mosquito and make it look stylish! Of course, Oscar de la Renta’s white dress worn by Katie adds a world of magic to the photo, but even so, who expected Justin Timberlake in the same picture with Kate Moss and Marc Jacobs? (the story continues right after the jump, don’t miss the gallery with larger images from this Vogue US)

Michelle Obama Does Vogue US March 2009

History in the making has a Vogue cover too! For the March 2009 issue of Vogue US, there’s a gorgeous black cover: The First Lady!

Wrote by André Leon Talley, Michelle Obama’s interview accompany a pictorial signed by Annie Leibovitz, fashion editor Tonne Goodman, sittings editor Alexandra Kotur, hair Johnny Wright and makeup Ingrid Grimes-Myles.

Michelle Obama Vogue US March09 Leibovitz cover The photos look alive, real, tangible in spite of the stage manufacturing behind every pose.

Those signature Leibovitz-ish lights are unmistakable and the colorful setting adds that joy-factor politics tends to waive from anything.

Reese Witherspoon Does Vogue US November 2008

Reese Witherspoon on the cover of Vogue US for the November 2008 issue. The patriotic issue. The anniversary issue (20years of Wintour@Vogue).

Pictorial of Reese Witherspoon with Olivier Theyskens. He saw in her the perfect Ricci girl. I see more the more the Avon girl in her. Because Reese is popular. Reese is one of the people. You can’t say wrong about her because she’s done none. Such is the case with these photos. There’s nothing wrong about the shooting. There’s nothing special about it either (except for Theyskens ghostly appearance). I wish I could say something more, but to me she looks like she’s playing with clothes that don’t belong on her, in a setting which doesn’t suit her. This is November’s US Vogue main fashion feature to me. Something irréprochable we could easily overlook. Was Reese suitable for this November Vogue cover? Rachel Weisz Covers Vogue US October 2008

What do you do when after a time out from the movie industry you’re ready to come back in full power? You go fetch yourself a Vogue Cover. US Vogue cover!

At least that’s what Rachel Weisz did (and if you think this is a one timer, just think about Gwyneth Paltrow not too long ago). The October issue of Vogue US features the beautiful actress in Rodarte mostly. If there’s one thing making me love this cover, is the end of the Prada Lace reign! Of course this doesn’t mean I was ready to replace that with Rodarte déchiré, but I have a weakness for the cover’s dress. (more pictures and a behind the scenes movie after the jump)

Rachel Weisz Vogue US October 2008 cover

The main disturbance with this October cover is that Rachel’s look is somewhere atop of you. Next in the troubles list is the hair. If this is the styling required for Vogue US, then my every morning hair is ready-for-Vogue-cover. The pictures are perfectly lovely, unreal and out of fashion point. The heavy contrasts used for the stairs photo damage the outfit focus, if ever there was one intended. I maintain the same weakness for the Rodarte ensemble. The Halloween pose is more worthy in photographic beauty more than fashion. Continue reading →

Keira Knightley Vogue US September 2008

If you hopes went towards models on Vogue US cover, there you have a little autumnal deception. Anna W just issued the September US Vogue with Keira Knightley on the cover.

Before I’ll get to the actual subject of the cover, I’ll just ask why people are fascinated by Keira? She still looks like a spoiled little girl playing skeletron before our eyes. What’s the worse thing about this cover? Besides Keira? Well, Keira’s hair! Hoping she didn’t wrecked it all pulling a MJ burn, I’ll just assume the hair stylist couldn’t make it to the shooting and that Anna crashed his/hers career for ever and ever. Besides that lovely Balenciaga outfit, the best thing about this September Vogue cover? Keira’s not pouting like she always does! Hurraaaay!!! Now tell me… What’s your story with this cover?(click to see larger image)

10 Fabulous Home Interior Steals From Anna Wintour’s New Vogue Office

Vogue is a pioneer in more ways than one. This time, it’s beyond fashion as we’d expect it with Conde Nast moving to their One World Trade Center Headquarters. A groundbreaking decision which could amp up the commercial value of the 104-stories building lacking serious renting appeal due to its Twin Towers proximity karma.

We’re setting everything aside, focusing on Vogue’s new digs, particularly on Anna Wintour’s office. She is, after all, a woman of extraordinary fashion influence, who else is better for a home fashion inspiration moment? Starting with:
