Sofia’s favorite pair of jeans comes from Acne and they’re hex black. They go well with the Charvet shirts she’s ordering (if Charvet doesn’t ring a bell, then you should know that they’re as exclusive as it get, the shirt makers of very important persons from Coco Chanel to the president Reagan, almost every prominent figure in history was wearing Charvet shirts! I was expecting a fun collection from Marc Jacobs this Fall Winter 2011 2012 season. Fun to wear, not just fun to watch. Because, in my opinion, Marc‘s latest collection was more entertaining to look at than to actually put on.

However, if we’re to trust the past seasons experience, Marc Jacobs sets the tone for everything else in fashion – couture houses and fast fashion chains will follow into his footsteps come this fall, as always. So what are we to expect next? polka dots. Bidimensional, tridimensional polka dots. Lace and latex, wedges and tiny hats. How do you like it?

The fashion muse of the moment is Arizona Muse. The 1990 American born model has joined the fashion stage in 2008 and in 2009 was already taking a break from it. And we can’t tell if it’s having her son, Nikko, in 2009 or simply the break we just mentioned, but upon her return in the fashion spotlight in 2010, Arizona became the next big thing.

I always wondered what I would ask someone (famous) if ever given the chance. Would I even go as far as to open my mouth and say something? Would the words come out? Tough one!

I used to be this shy kid, serious about school and home works (you can call me geeky if you like. I didn’t like it back then but I sure do appreciate it now. You can even get away with calling me nerd-ish). Still I would have gladly worked my way around socializing. Talking to people felt so awkward. So let’s pretend for a second that I would have this assignment. This interview. With Simon Baker. And that I would have to actually talk to him. Ask him things. What a lovely surprise! Literally out of the blue, an Opening Ceremony pretext to record yet another bald fashion move around the petite daring fashion label.

The Teen Choice Awards 2009, held Sunday 9 August had (former Gilmore Girl) Alexis Bledel on board, dressed in blue to match her eyes but looking all questionably stylish. Just look at her – doesn’t she has that face “How do I look? Is my dress ok?” Nah, you should have put something else on, really! I don’t know what they told you back at Opening Ceremony, but lace is soooo last season! (photos via)

I’m one to think as the British elegantly put it “too poor to buy cheap” that quality is important. But branding and quality are not supposed to come together as one in an effort to spend more just to buy the label.

A $1,600 Prada hat is the perfect example of how to spend all your money (and more) for a fashionable pretext that can really undermine your credibility: Anne Christensen is a well respected women fashion director for NY Times T Magazine. Why she bought a $1,600 Prada hat?

I have fair skin, I work in fashion and I tend to hang on to things for a very long time. That is how I can justify (although I know it seems nearly impossible) the price of this Prada hat. But hear me out. Not only will this hat keep the sun off my face, but also I can wear it at the beach or in the city — and, well, I need a replacement for the Kangol cap I have now worn for about eight years. And for those of you who would suggest that I buy myself a $19.99 glue gun and make my own Prada hat, believe me, I would if I could! For now I’ll take the ready-made version and think of the money it might save me on dermatologist bills down the road.
