Anna Jagodzinska on the cover of US Vogue May, the models issue was something so notable that they decided to make a cake from it! (even if this is just the first cover, every fold deserved a cake!)
There’s something so strange about eating a cover-cake, I couldn’t bring myself to do it. I wonder, though, if they make a cake with Anna Wintour’s face on it, what would it taste like? (on a side note – how do you decorate your cakes? I usually have nothing on, less is more) (modelinia via theimagist)

I thought my eyes were deceiving me, but no! Daria Werbowy really, really graces the covers of both Vogue UK and Vogue Paris for May 2009!
Mario Testino’s Vogue UK May 2009 cover with Daria Werbowy looks nothing like Inez and Vinoodh’s Daria Werbowy for Vogue Paris May 2009. The Brit edition looks more like Cosmo… (the story continues right after the jump, with larger images of the two covers)

Beware, Freja’s androgyny looks are no longer fashionable! Anna Selezneva is the new it girl!
Vogue Paris recreated a vintage unisex atmosphere with Anna Selezneva, all photographed by Mario Sorrenti and styled by Emanuelle Alt. If the cover features the Anti-Marilyn, this editorial is also depicted from the movies – Just One of the Guys (1985). Anna is definitely the new Moss. This CK-ish attitude pictorial is proof de plus if ever needed so! For some strange reason, I find Anna’s “boy” styling more interesting than her girl-shoots. How about you? (more pictures after the jump!) (via)

I tried so hard to go around this cover! I really did! You know I dislike Scarlett Johansson. Her overpraised beauty and sexyness make me think there’s too much ink, to many bites of information already pouring down about her, that I should go radio silent and let others write Scarlett love letters!
Well, wanting to write about Anna Selezneva’s boy/girl pictorial has brought me the inevitable: talking about Scarlett’s cover. (the story continues after the jump! Don’t miss the gallery with all the pictures with Scarlett from Vogue Paris April 2009!)

One should really know when to stop! The Sartorialist learns nothing from his brother-in-blogs Perez Hilton: turning your blogging talents into fashion is not taking you too far! The Sartorialist has more than his Sarto-book coming up: his own shop chez Colette “The Sartorialust”. I wonder if wearing one of his “lusts” things would make you a regular in The Sartorialist’s snaps… (via The Pipeline, photos via Kitmeout, photochopping courtesy Stylefrizz.com)

How about that? Queen Bee is one busy Bee this month! Not only she’s the first black girl to have graced a Vogue black cover consequently (following The First Lady, Michelle Obama), but she’s also featured in the Italian Vogue.
If you were expecting Sasha Fierce for the US Vogue, you were disappointed and delighted in the same time since she’s only doing Beyoncé for that cover, and what a beautiful Bee she does! Now if you were expecting to see another Beyoncé for this Vogue Italy, you’ll be more disappointed than pleased… (don’t miss the rest of the story, check out the gallery with Beyoncé’s pictures from Vogue Italy)

It has been almost a week now since dubious taste headlines implying Claudia Schiffer is still in shape for a Vogue cover even if she’s 38 years old poison the Internet.
Not everyone believes that being in your late 30s, having had two kids also enables one to maintain your figure and justifies showing her beautiful face/body. Even so, the truth remains: Claudia Schiffer graces the cover of Vogue UK’s April Issue. (the story continues right after the jump, check the gallery with all the pictures!)

Beyoncé graces Vogue’s Shape Issue cover. Photographed by Mario Testino, Queen Bee’s pictures are not impressive in a fashion kind of way but more in a depersonalization perspective.
Beyoncé was cut out from her stage persona, her Sasha Fierce ego was completely peeled off thus revealing a simple girl looking just great with no more than earrings smaller than her very earlobe. (the story continues right after the jump, don’t miss the gallery with all the Beyoncé pictures from this Vogue April 2009)
