Let me ask you again: how many straight men you know who’ll buy this magazine? Knowing what it holds inside? These are Steven Klein’s Warriors. A pictorial openly Bondage-sque and clearly SM. Is there really no other way to do fashion? No other appealing photographic, styling technique other than spikes, hot wax, chains and so on? My curiosity was seriously teased when I saw this cover for Vogue Men Japan. I’m now bringing it before you to judge and tell if men magazines are for Men or Women!

Looking at this photo (taken by Steven Klein and styled by Nicola Formichetti) with Travis Hanson in a somewhat stripping pole routine I wonder which straight man will buy this issue just because of the cover? Unless this particular Vogue issue targets the gay audience out there, Vogue Hommes is a fashion magazine for women? (photo via)

If you thought that by simply throwing away the magazine with the most disappointing cover is punishment enough, take a look at Nate Page’s carvings! That’s some serious disappointment right there!

Focusing on the eyes only and cutting away in depth throughout the entire magazine, Nate Page, the Magazines Punisher, dons a true masterpiece of a cover. Too bad there isn’t much of a content “inside”! I was wondering – do you think he’d do the same to a model cover? What a surprise, really! Of all models, Lara Stone on the cover of Carine Roitfeld’s Vogue Paris September 2009? Absolutely unexpected!

Without being ironic, this is new but only as far as Lara’s haircolor (and some of her styling) goes. With a little help from Mert and Marcus, she’s supposed to bring a certain Gloria from our memory but nobody dares to say who that Gloria really is. Yesterday, two legends opened the road for September Magazines! Here goes Vogue UK with none the other but Kate Moss! You didn’t thought she was going to lay that Brigitte Bardot thing to rest, now did you?

Heavy eyeliner, blonde bouffant above the shoulder locks, neutral, slightly pink nuanced lip gloss, Kate Moss proudly shows her freckles and a slightly changed face structure for this Vogue September cover. (yes, you heard that right, she only has the cover!) Is it just me or there’s something strange with her prune.. ahem mouth? From all things bad, I have to admit Kate Moss looks just as beautiful as ever, fashion’s safest choice! How do you like Vogue UK September 2009?
