Looking fabulous as usual, Kate Moss works the shades for Vogue Eyewear in their Spring Summer 2011 ad campaign. Photographed by Mario Testino and styled by Katie England, the first two images leaked from the above mentioned campaign remind me so much of Longchamp’s previous campaigns with Kate Moss! Also – is that Kate Moss leopard coat? It looks familiar…
You should also know that Kate has worked on something special with Vogue for this upcoming season: a selection of her favorite sun/glasses. Now that we know the clothes from Kate Moss ‘ wardrobe courtesy her Topshop collection, the bags in Kate Moss ‘ closet, courtesy her Longchamp collection, we get to see the shades in Kate Moss ‘ drawers, courtesy her Vogue collaboration. What’s next? The rugs and curtains from Kate Moss’ home? (via)

Victoria Beckham, the Vogue interview from Vogue UK February 2011. Sneaky and steadily, Victoria is erasing any trace of Posh Spice from our memory.
Soft and girly, that’s Vogue’s UK approach of the new year Victoria Beckham. 2011 brings us old news in tons of gray. Also – Victoria is building a personality behind her name. Curious about that interview now? (Vogue via)

Who would’ve thought that a year long of Vogue covers (various international issues combined) could be so morally and visually challenging (yes, it’s not just you, this image bares a forced resemblance with the Virgin Mary)?
Call it a miracle, call it visual cliché, all 2010 Vogue covers seem to operate on one aesthetic and one aesthetic only. Vertical, middle page layout can be summarized in this blurry red and orange silhouette. Cliché much? (via)

Today some pretty amazing piece of news hit the interwebs! For the unprepared, this would seem totally harmless and normal. For the fashpeople, it’s a tragedy! Carine Roitfeld has stepped down from the Vogue Paris throne!
Where is she going then? Who’d be taking her place? Those are the questions popping in everyone’s fashminds. The fashpeople stress out. Do you think she’ll be taking Vogue US? (I doubt her aesthetics match the US market, sincerely)

I was wondering about Vogue UK and what they’ll come up with to cover January 2011. Keira Knightley. That’s what! And, to my surprise, she’s looking fresh like a rose and lovely like an angel.
Photographed by Mario Testino wearing pieces from Miu Miu, Sonia Rykiel, Prada and Marni, Keira looks grown up and classy. She even ditched her usual pout, which doubles the class in my opinion. And even if I think her Vogue appearance is no coincidence and it’s surely because she has some new movie to promote, I have to admit I like Keira’s cover (I’m still uncertain about her pictorial – it looks pretty strange – click through and take a look yourself; click here for the gallery!). How about you? (Vogue via)

Without being a cover girl and without too many drums parading her appearance in Vogue Italy December 2010, Kate Moss has marveled my aesthetics at a point I never thought she ever would. After all, there’s only one Kate Moss (until proven otherwise).
Her pictorial (lensed by Nick Knight) is way beyond Gisele’s (and that should say something since Gisele is the cover girl of the issue), striking and dramatic. Sure it’s as dubious and as controversial as it gets, but one cannot go around intimacy allusions in fashion. It comes with the “fashionable” territory. So I’m trying to get used to the new dark sensual aesthetic, which doesn’t also mean I’ll have to appreciate it too. Get me a shiny smiling pictorial over that any day! Now getting back to Kate’s Vogue Italy December – how does it strike your fashionable soul? (photos via)

How could a Steven Meisel – shot Vogue cover look wrong? It’s a star maker, a cover star maker. Now take that, add Gisele Bundchen to the sauce and you’ve got yourself a winner Vogue Italy December 2010 cover!
Shot in black and white and followed by an equally b & w pictorial, the new Gisele Bundchen extravaganza feels like her most important appearance since Vogue US (we’re talking in post baby issues, biensur). And there’s something about her Rubber Soul pictorial that brings a new light on Gisele the doll. Changing expressions and stretching her usual portfolio, it’s surely something good coming from Gisele the supermodel Bundchen. Would you say she’s a better model here or in her usual poses? (more photos right after the jump; click here for the gallery!) (photos via)

Tom Ford, the uber designer turned director is gracing the cover of Vogue Paris December 2010 / January 2011. Guest editing the magazine and being photographed by Mert and Marcus for the cover, Tom Ford hides behind Daphne Groeneveld.
Also featuring pictures from his September presented women collection, this issue sounds very interesting and, dare I say, decadent? It’s Vogue Paris, after all, I’m not expecting nuns and doves (except for Lara disguised as a nun, maybe? Where’s Lara, you’re asking? She’s apparently not in. However, rest assured, Carine is faithful to her aesthetics – Daphne is Lara’s 15yo doppelganger. Oh, and there are images inside photographed by Terry. That Terry! Carine Roitfeld, Vogue Paris, Tom Ford, 15yo gorgeous looking Daphne Groeneveld, Terry Richardson. What could possibly go wrong?) (via)
