Frimousses de Createurs is a fashion charity project in partnership with UNICEF. For 11 years, fashion luminaries got crafty for charity, trying to offer their modest help to the children of Darfour. In 2012, 200,000EUR (approximately $271,000 at current exchange rates) have been raised and used to vaccinate the needy. This year, they’re asking for a new record. Let’s see what they have to offer!
42 ‘Createurs de Mode’ are listed on the official cause website but a couple didn’t submit their work by the time this story has been written (Louis Vuitton and Jerome l’Huillier). Next to them, the joined efforts of 3 jewelers, 7 designers, 35 contemporary artists will try to raise as much as possible for the humanitarian cause.
Until the actual charity action takes place (December 2nd 2013 at the Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris, all the creations are on display on a public exhibition at le Petit Palais, starting November 26 until December 1st 2013, Paris).
Among the 42 dolls, I included here 32 for your consideration. 32 Fashion Designers Dolls for the good cause. Some of them are creepy, some of them are endearing. But that’s the designers vision about this year’s Parisian theme. Let’s see them and then pick a favorite and discuss the initiative, should you feel like it!

Naturally, after talking about Daisy Buchanan who’s totally taking over Carey Mulligan in her Vogue pictorial, bringing the Great Gatsby in the scene doesn’t look odd or out of place. So here he is: in all his theatrical splendor, Leonardo di Caprio as Gatsby in Baz Luhrmann’s new twist on the old classic. In 3D.
When did Leo grew up anyway? The good people from Esquire (aka Tom Junod, who wrote the piece about him for the May 2013 issue of the magazine) would put it all on a crack. On a neck crack. A loud and insignificant crack that would give you at least a good hundred characters from a mandatory length of a magazine cover story.

As I was saying earlier, today I’m trying to gather as many inspiring ideas as I can for the weekend. And more. One of the things I love doing the most during my off-duty time is watching a movie or a TV series episode (that’s mostly for ‘when the kids are asleep and all the work around the house is done or I’m too beat up to lift a finger, let alone dust&clean’).
Let’s talk movies, for a brief moment: Marc Jacobs, my dahlings, is starring in a movie. Actually, he already did the acting thing, now it’s up to us to do the watching. ‘Disconnect’ is the name, and it just ran a special screening at the MoMa last night.

I can hardly find a more suitable closure for this Fashion Weeks season but the Louis Vuitton Fall 2013 Collection. And that’s not just because it summed up pretty much all the recommended trends for the next fall season but because it hinted to a certain well – deserved rest after four weeks of runway marathons.
Pajamas and sleepwear comfort on the very catwalk. That can only be sustained by the likes of Marc Jacobs and Miuccia Prada. But whereas seasons past pajamas involved some heavy mix of prints, mainly geometric, now it’s all about the little flowers and the pretty lace or the nice glitter dips.

I’m beginning to think that Miuccia Prada has an entire wardrobe set aside just for Red Carpet purposes! Pieces signed by her keep popping here and there on our beloved celebs without being tied to a particular Prada or Miu Miu collection!
Such is the case for Kerry Washington here who was wearing a beautiful coral dress with a label reading Miu Miu and yet from no particular catwalk season. We’ve seen it happening before on the Red Carpet, we even saw it tonight, for the 2013 Oscars, on Anne Hathaway! Miuccia Prada waving her sartorial wand and making Red Carpet dresses over night!

How do you deal with obsessive searches? Like, for instance, this kind of wall – art dwelling I’m on right now? It can only be compared with the rush I feel when I’m boots – hunting. Which I am too. Kind of.
But look at this room corner here. It’s strategically placed near the window for daydreaming and it has all the black & white splashed with gold goodies to make your head swirl with deco – emotion! And the PRADA store sign pointing towards Marfa out the window? Genius! {I only have Pinterest to link back to as source – as it’s where I found it; however, if you do know where this is, please tell me, I’d love to see more of this house!}

Jourdan Dunn and Clara Delevigne graced the Met Gala 2012 Red Carpet in lace and velvet respectively with and adorable bow belt (for Jourdan) and a rock chic studded black leather glove (for Clara).
