It’s been on my mind for days now (and in my Inbox for just as long, thanks to our dear friend, Ellington!). Now I finally think I have the right mood and the right day to present you with it (now the weekend is soon upon us, what better time to talk bikes?)!

I was trying to come up with an attractive title, something that’ll draw you over but not too giving, more teasing than anything. I may have succeeded, you’ll tell me, but the truth is I really wanted you to discover the V & Y neckpieces. Scarves that double as necklaces. In a green attitude.
The layered neckpieces are actually made of upcycled t – shirts repurposed and injected into a new, highly fashionable existence. You can wear the neckpieces either as scarves, tighten up to keep you warm and pop out from you jacket or coat but also as necklaces, hanging out to anyone’s surprise and envy. (more after the jump!)
Did you miss a good, inspiring designer home? I’m all for the cottage-y chic of a home, a cozy feeling I don’t get from every décor or house I find. Especially one owned by a designer.
Have you noticed, actually – designers are usually forward thinking persons, not easy to contain in a more classical pattern. But are they doing that because it’s de rigueur? Or because their artsy thinking and being doesn’t “feel” a more classical attitude towards living etc? Anyway, not that I got my curiosity out of the way, let’s get back to Henry Roth’s home.
We usually know a model’s body better than we know how her voice sounds like or what she thinks of. Because it’s their job to walk and look pretty. But what if, inside a model’s mind there’s much more than fashion?

Chanel Iman may just be here to infirm the usual myth that mind and beauty don’t co-exist in the same body. Judging by physical appearance is a sign of weakness, self-doubt and an inability to show love. Learn to control that. We should love one another with the same passion in which we love ourselves. This is how we grow. Be grateful and appreciate what’s yours! It can be gone in a second.
Surround yourself with positive, encouraging influences that create a healthy environment. Dig deep inside and find that passion that has no fear in expressing love for yourself and others. That is what’s going to make you win and make people love you back.
I’ve always been judged and bullied for being tall and skinny my whole life. Early on I listened to others and failed to appreciate what God gave me until I at last excepted what an amazing blessing it was to love me for me.
Beauty really is deep, so go deep and recognize what’s real! Now, I’m not saying stop doing what makes you feel fly, confident or good about yourself. I’m saying don’t over focus on just looks. Try capturing the essence of the inner beauty that makes us who we are.
In this un-perfect world don’t allow anyone to disrupt your way because of their small opinions. Don’t be a victim of what others negatively say about you. They have no bearing factor in your future. Let your best shine through, your inner beauty, and lead you to success!

If we’re to believe the rumors, Robert Pattinson (yes, like in Twilight – Robert Pattinson) declined the advertorial offer made by Burberry to represent the brand as their spokesface. A celebrity refusing to endorse on their face – fame? If that’s true, and Robert Pattinson did say he wants to be recognized as an actor and not a model, it’s quite revolutionary for the fashion (and celebrity) world! What say you? Have you seen Kate Moss in 3 D yet? Before rushing out the door in searching for the nearest 3D glasses sales point, I have to share my non 3D experience with Kate. Even if the new fashion is now 3D, I stubbornly exert my God Given 2D vision to watch and experiment everything in the old school two dimensional way. It’s called “attitude”.

I’m generally one who likes to keep a positive attitude and memory about everything and anything. Thus, the Selfridges window which honored in no moral way the big talent that was Alexander McQueen could have ruined the way I looked at Selfridges windows from that day on.
