What do you do when after a time out from the movie industry you’re ready to come back in full power? You go fetch yourself a Vogue Cover. US Vogue cover!

At least that’s what Rachel Weisz did (and if you think this is a one timer, just think about Gwyneth Paltrow not too long ago). The October issue of Vogue US features the beautiful actress in Rodarte mostly. If there’s one thing making me love this cover, is the end of the Prada Lace reign! Of course this doesn’t mean I was ready to replace that with Rodarte déchiré, but I have a weakness for the cover’s dress. (more pictures and a behind the scenes movie after the jump)

The main disturbance with this October cover is that Rachel’s look is somewhere atop of you. Next in the troubles list is the hair. If this is the styling required for Vogue US, then my every morning hair is ready-for-Vogue-cover. The pictures are perfectly lovely, unreal and out of fashion point. The heavy contrasts used for the stairs photo damage the outfit focus, if ever there was one intended. I maintain the same weakness for the Rodarte ensemble. As is the case with the awards, the Oscars Red Carpet is turning into a politically correct fashion moment. Preferably long dresses, strapless corseted floor sweeping gowns in safe colors and cuts.

I know you’ve probably seen the Red Carpet and you must already have shaped an idea about the style of the 2016 Oscars Red Carpet Dresses, however, I love discussing these things with you ^_^ and especially confessing my own views. Last night, all the ladies looked like giant wrapped candy. Few notable exceptions, of course, but other than that, giant wrapped candy!

So many movies, so many celebrities, so many dresses all in one place: Hollywood’s elite gathered to celebrate the industry and their respective achievements last night, at the 20th Academy Awards ceremony, in short: the 2014 Oscars.

I started out by highlighting them one by one but soon realized there were so many gorgeous ladies wearing so many fantastic gowns, I just had to say something about each and every one of them. Or at least try!

If you’re after Glam and Shine on the Red Carpet, the Screen Actors Guild Awards is your stop! The gowns were only matched by the beauty of the ladies wearing them!

The 20th edition of the SAG Awards were rich in blue dresses and in sequins. Which is always a good news for fashion enthusiasts like myself: I happen to like all those gorgeous shiny dresses and blue is one of my favorite colors!

this was definitely the dress of the evening! Lupita not only she won an Actor for her dazzling performance in 12 Years a Slave but her natural grace and beauty should be awarded every day! The teal Gucci dress was otherwise simple if it weren’t for the decolete embellishements: but oh! what an amazing effect they had against Lupita’s glowy complexion!
