Fashion covers. You can’t tie them to a specific season or see their reality ties. They just are. Fashionable. And stylish. Eye candy. Saskia De Brauw’s Dutch Vogue cover of the October 2012 issue looks like one of those stylish covers I admire but can’t pick a controversy on.

And we like our covers on the controversial side. Don’t we? Badly photoshopped, over cropped, poorly imagined and uninspiredly put together. So yeah, basically what’s left to do here is congratulate the fashion editor who put this together and to Saskia and the photographer who collaborated nicely towards a fashion job well done. There. I said it! (the image on the right is sublime and I hope it’s the subscribers cover as what you’re seeing here is actually the October 2012 preview from the September issue)

Kate Moss is so spoiled! Not only did she complain about not being in the supers video, when George Michael released Freedom 90 and she got to be in one of his music videos all by herself (remember, we talked about how strange it all was) but now she’s doing a Vogue cover alongside George Michael.

Vogue Paris October 2012 with Kate and George on the cover, as photographed by Mario Testino is the perfect example of bad cover gone worse. If we were already used to seeing Kate’s face over – photoshopped and ultra smoothened, now her retouching is nothing compared to what they did on George Michael’s face.

I hope the inside pictorial makes up for this disappointing, tabloid – like cover (thank you, VP for sharing this image!)

Kristen Stewart who is right in the middle of a media scrutinized scandal, is on the cover of Vogue’s UK October 2012. Although you’d think she’s doing a pre – Twilight promotional appearance, she’s there for “On the Road” s UK premiere (October 12th).

A controversial but nevertheless iconic movie (based on a Jack Kerouac novel), as you’ll tell from the trailer (here), On The Road will only be on limited release in the US, and that in December. What you need to remember is that Kristen Stewart has slowly rose to a certain Femme Fatale status through her movies & press appearances while this new affair scandal is only consolidating her seductress fame. (call it her “Angelina” moment, Kristen, if managed righteously, will rise victorious after this scandal)

It was about time, huh? Of course Lady Gaga’s Vogue September 2012 cover was altered in photoshop (duh!) but do you know how the picture looked like when it was initially taken by Mert and Marcus? Well, it kinds looks like the one below. Great, huh? Gaga wouldn’t be herself without Photoshop or circus – like looks. Vogue Cover Photoshop Before & After: such a Gaga – drama! {E!}

Wow! It’s been so long since I last saw Scarlett Johansson in the media! (except her Black Widow stint in this year’s Avengers) Now here she is, gracing another ad campaign for Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Iluminous looking like she never aged a second (after her 18th anniversary, that is – wink) {tFS}

I won’t let this “Family & such” day go by without mentioning that this Thursday, Rufus Wainwright wedded longtime partner Jorn Weisbrodt in an intimate rustic beach ceremony. They chose custom Viktor & Rolf suits for the occasion, according to People. Engaged from 2010 and parents to 18month – old Viva Katherine Wainwright Cohen (in partnership with Lorca Cohen, Leonard Cohen’s daughter), Jorn and Rufus look quite the happy dapper couple! Congrats!

Few days back, we were treated with a weird – looking Lara Stone on the cover of Vogue Paris’ September 2012. As since her marriage to British Comedian David Walliams, Lara has kept a lower fashion profile, I thought she had changed. But no. Looking back at us, more radiant than ever, Lara Stone as she was casually heading back home after dinner with her husband and their cute dog! (if you ask me, she’s looking better than she did for Vogue!) {modelcandids}

What do you wear in the comfort of your own home? I admit, I’m not the most fashionable in the crowd! Between sweatpants (it’s because I believe in working out while you’re doing your daily chores – wink) and torn t – shirts (it’s because I’m such a rocker at heart – wink), it’s hard to decide where my fashion vibe grows stronger…

But I think it’s in the stylish holes in my trashed out tops (some have the same age as my eldest kid). Vogue Italia’s August 2012 main pictorial is all about “Dressing up with nowhere to go”. Models wearing their most glamorous (although I’d have some objections to that…) in the intimacy of their own kitchen.
