Kate Moss photographed by Mario Testino for V Magazine’s first ever Swimsuit Issue was rather promising. Just hearing about it made me curious to see her usual braless self flaunting her new curves, why not holding a cigarette because c’est chic.

While fashion adorers worldwide impatiently await Coco Avant Chanel, the movie, lucky Parisians who already have the chance to see the movie in theaters starting April 22 (yesterday), noticed a morally dubious poster adorning their ad spaces: Le poster de Coco Avant Chanel where Audrey’s character, Coco, holds a cigarette.

You thought le mighty Sartorialist would be the only blogger gone book writer? Crossing over is a must, it seems, when you’re a street style blogger/photographer. The Face Hunter just announced he’ll publish a book in the near future. Shouldn’t they invent a special library for bloggers publishing various books? The Japanese Fashion scene is a most interesting theatre for the far-lookers. I’m far rom being a specialist in all things Harajuku and Cosplay but it seems a new trend has developed in the backstages of Japanese Street Style: the Japanese Goth.

Being a special mix, it cannot be reduced the old boundaries of Gothic. The Japanese Goth tea is a special infusion of Goth Lolitas and Goth Punk with a special Visual-kei scent. Bright and colorful, spring-ish and simply Topshop, the new New York store looks just like the Oxford Circus Topshop store, on four levels and 28,000 square feet just for selling (from the 40,000 square feet of total surface) with a DJ booth for busy days or special events. I’m one of those admirers of Hedi Slimane’s photographical works. The simplicity, the black & white magic, the crystal clear styling, the great portrait technique, it’s all Hedi Slimane’s signature.

Anna Selezneva being the next Kate Moss, like previously proven by the Yves Saint Laurent styling team, it was a matter of time until she hit it Hedi-big time! No doubt about it, she’s a beautiful woman. No doubt about Slimane’s preference for skinny, blode-ish, smoking models.

Can someone please make those cancer sticks go away from fashion? (via)
