Come, come, you have to see this! I know it’s been a celebrities – filled couple of days here but come on, would you have missed this time piece, it would have been such a shame! Really!

So – it’s about Kanye West‘s wristwatch, a pretty blingy piece of work signed by Tiret and especially commissioned by Kanye himself to make his face in black, brown, yellow and white diamonds (in a total of 8 carats, adding the bezel line). All is fine, Kanye got his face on the watch, the watchmen got their pay… the only trouble is – if I’d have one of these, I couldn’t tell the time. Could you? (via)

Showing her true colors, Erin Wasson was pictured by Paola Kudaki wearing her new jewelry line: Low Luv. The Spring/Holiday collection as showcased here by Erin drew inspiration from the new things that she finds interesting and powerful. Skiing just got a bit more glamorous, more blingy and fancy. It seems that if you take any object and cover it in Swarovski Crystals, it instantly raises the value and the global appreciation for the said object.

Today’s case study is a ski mask. D & G got the ordinary ski mask and glammed it up by applying (by hand) 2,500 Swarovski Crystals and releasing it in a limited edition. Declined in four colors from silver to red, the new D & G ski mask can also be found in a pack edition, with a very shiny, quilted glasses flexible case. It may not be the next big thing, but due to those Swarovski implants, this D & G ski mask got Anna dello Russo’s attention. Wouldn’t you care to bling up for the slopes also? (D & G via)

Have you noticed an unexplained tendency for sparkle and unusually bright designs / accessories for bridal occasions? Like the bride had dreamed about her wedding day for so long she’s not willing to let it pass without sparkling like a star in the sky? Which is perfectly, totally fine and understandable! Right? As long as we’re wearing our shades!

Joking. Just joking! You know me well by now and you know I have this very, very soft spot for everything, anything related to a wedding! Such a soft spot I can even understand wearing a Judith Leiber bejeweled bridal bag! The first ones to hit the press were the cake shaped bag and the flowers basked shaped bag. That’s because I can’t honestly ask you if you want the bling thing! It’s so expensive, it makes writing about so vain!

However, when it comes to i-anything, I find it so hard to resist the temptation, I end up writing a teeny tiny piece after all! So this $8Million iPhone 4 has a handmade rose gold case with a gazillion little shiny diamonds in. On the sides, even the home button was blinged up, not to mention the Apple logo that was made from 53 diamonds! Its designer, Stuart Hughes must either have a slightly more intense passion for iPhones than anyone out there or.. there’s someone out there talking on the $8Million iPhone right now. What did we have last as jewelry designer? An engineer? Well, it’s time to welcome Caroline Bruce, equally jewelry designer by passion, biologist by formation! She did followed a BA in Interior Design also. But what’s that got to do with jewelry design? Passion, that’s what – Caroline was passionate about beads!

Nesting all around, you say? Yeah, it must be the autumnal air that’s getting us inside, thus redecorating, somewhat. (I wouldn’t mind a bit of sunshine, though, I’m having a laundry filled week and I would happily appreciate all the help I can get – I’m a natural, I love having my laundry drying out in the clean, fresh air instead of a tumbling metal box)

Getting back to redecorating: there’s something you have to see! Alexander McQueen’s rug for The Rug Company (remember dame Vivienne also worked a collection for them)! Just before he flew away, he designed a series of six rugs for the infamous label from which this image of a flock of hummingbirds. Visionary much?
