Now if you ask me that question, I’ll just pop-up, impolitely and quite aggressively saying “No lipstick whatsoever for my man!”. But I’m not the only voice that should be raised to answer this question, so I’m looking forward to hearing your opinion!
Men and lipstick just don’t make good home in my view. My vision of a man is seriously similar to one you get a glimpse at in those old Marlboro Country ads. Rough. Worked, working hard. Man-ish. Times have changed and the metro man now is just another way to describe the effeminate man. Lipstick? What’s next? Borrowing those pink silk lady shavers? (I know it’s delicately put, I know it’s dangerously close to the edge – but I’m carefully trying not to touch the gay-section of men here. I’m just talking straight men wearing lipstick. Are there any out there?) (photos via)

Being a famous fashion photographer, you’d say that Nick Knight already has an eye for The Fashion Body. And this may just be the case, only he’s sending the message in a cryptic manner.
A series of fashion short films will be made for Nick Knight’s Fashion Body project. I’ve been submerged by the beauty of “The Right Hand”, a short film signed by Knight himself. Which should be about the right fashion hand. Because I haven’t found a way to embed the actual video, I’m inviting you to take a look at the short film here and then we’ll share visions. Looking forward to the rest of the project (The Right Shoulders by Rick Owens, The Right Ribs by Liberty Ross – even Lady Gaga has a project – probably the most awaited one), a total of 30 short films puzzling up the Right Fashion Body. It’s madness, I’m telling you, madness! Come, come share your thoughts after seeing Nick Knight’s video!

Ever since it started, I tried to look beyond the dorkyness of wearing socks with shoes or sandals. For us, women. Because there’s something girl-ish and school-ish about wearing socks with sandals that gets the dubious combo to the next level of trendyness.
When it comes to men wearing socks with sandals (or flip flops) I just can’t. The thought of it, the sight of it makes me run and hide under a big pile of Vogue magazines. Why Acne? Why have you done that with your Spring Summer 2011 collection? (photos via)

Besides being extremely busy with her fashion label, Victoria Beckham has time for intensive designer deeds. She was asked to design the interior for the new upcoming Range Rover Evoque. And so she did.
The car is supposedly the greenest Range Rover up to date, the new fashioned car joins her older sister, the Range Rover Vogue (which was named so because Vogue used a Range Rover for one of their photoshootings in 1981). We’re of course curious to know how the interior really looks like, however, the new Evoque will be available next year for $45,000. Posh doesn’t come cheap, daaahling! (via)

We’ve been through so many Louis Vuitton things together, I couldn’t have kept this from you, no way! However, looking at this, I can’t even bring the Pulp Fiction liaison to mind, to make it all easier to digest. It’s just.. what it is.
A picture signed by Christopher Katke featuring a man wearing a gimp mask. Which wouldn’t shock anyone (or their dog) given the current direction fashion photography is taking. However, it’s a Louis Vuitton monogram Gimp Mask. How long till we see this in the pages of Vogue? (Christopher Katke via Mandi)

Every time I went on and on saying good (or not so good) things about the Red Carpet parade, I somehow targeted the wearer. How wrong of me and what an un-Hollywood thinking! Our beloved celebrities strutting the Red Carpet with their fierce dresses don’t pick them personally. Oh, no! They have someone doing it for them. Classic.
A hired professional picks those special outfits so the beloved celebrity in question could proudly walk the Red line stuffed with photographers. So who’s picking for who? Tara Swennen does Kristen Stewart. (hit the jump to find out more secret Hollywood stylist names and who their clients are!)

Claudia Schiffer has somehow managed to overcome Karl Lagerfeld’s aversion for children and mothers. Not only she’s a mother herself, but she was also photographed by the Kaiser while she was 7 months along with her third child. For a Vogue cover!
That alone should make us appreciate Claudia even more than we used to. And consider Karl’s wisdom in a comic perspective, as we always do. However, Karl’s latest fashion cum art deed managed to raise more than eyebrows: it raised the fashion discrimination pulse. Stern Fotografie is a quarterly photography magazine and Karl was commissioned for its 60th anniversary issue. He chose Claudia Schiffer for the occasion: his muse of 20 years. (the story continues with more images right after the jump!)
