It’s a Mary Poppins feeling in all that which can’t be overlooked. With Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue in background, I get a sci-fi feeling from this catwalk. And not necessarily in a bad way. He didn’t invent the spoon for spring summer 2009, but Marc Jacobs mixed with a frenzy that made me think he was blindfolded when he draw the sketches for half of the spring-summer 2009 collection. Well, in LVMH corpuniverse, they released this five minutes clip for the corporate acknowledgment, a chance for every corporate participant to feel the power of the system he was enrolled to. It’s a promotional clip made by Ogilvy for internal use only where LVMH presents its brands. Let’s brainwash ourselves with the luxury within. Enjoy!

Skinny shiny flare pants, dark tops and long necklaces matched with what people already called an off-trend – the maxi-bag (being in this case a messenger bag, a far from original style, but nonetheless adorable to me). It’s not ugly, it’s just depressive, dark and dull.(after the picture you can find the entire fashion show clip)

Of course you can easily find pieces to wear (like I found some to really enjoy) because they fit the street in fall-winter. Wet, grayish but simple cut and clearly put together, this Burberry Prorsum catwalk is too discreet to provoke. I saw that the trench is still high in power for Burberry. Short sleeved, mid sleeved, bulb-shaped or all frills, le trench goes strong. Is that good news for you?

With an absolute eighties flavor, the shows starts under Thriller chills and goes on the fur road on and on and on. Grey and beige, a bit of color with some strange looking dresses leaving me a strong couch fabric aftertaste, and that pretty wraps up the JPGaultier FW 08-09. What’s your take on the show? And that the first two minutes were all about the song I love for almost two months now (Hot Chip – Out at the pictures)? So if I cut that from the clip because I wasn’t really paying attention to the catwalk, I get six minutes of Balenciaga Fall Winter 2008 2009. The catwalk really looked like a science fair more than anything. All the models literally walked like robots which made the show pretty hilarious and stole (at least for me) the woman-factor from the story and transformed it into some cyber-material (don’t forget to see the robo-walk right after the picture)

Oh well..at least the clothes weren’t completely hideous. Ghesquiere managed a more digest catwalk than the spring-summer one and the draped tops really hooked me for good! I keep on playing the clip as I’m writing these lines and I find it impossible to resist! The robo-models! Don’t they look like that to you too?

Sweden is all about fast: fast-fashion (H & M), fast-furniture (Ikea) now the fast-wedding! Imagine instead of spending all that money on a white dress, white party et caetera, you spend it all on buying a flashy car to wed in! Are you bond to traditions when it comes to weddings? Or it’s just a flash of the moment thing so why not a drive-in-thing?(don’t miss the clip right after the picture!)

Then again, you have to think simple for the heat. His suggestion would be a subtle powdery color for the eyes and volume-enhancer or high-definition mascara.
And don’t forget the lips – use lip gloss in natural tones from bronze to peach (I don’t use lip gloss because my hair always feels a supernatural attraction and sticks on my lips instantly).

Honestly, that doesn’t sound academic at all! Wonder if that’s what it takes to look summer-gorgeous because I always was a no-other- makeup-than-mascara-girl, so I wouldn’t have to revolutionize my ways to get ready for the summer..

Get Ready For Summer Make Up!

Not too classic either, not to edgy, rather normal (and as dull as some may see it, normality is bliss!) and judging, through my perspective, is a matter of applied experience. And judging this advertising campaign (that I announced you in an earlier post) is resuming my good will to “what was thaaaat?”. At first I wanted to take things on the artsy side.

Then on the science-fiction side (the scenes reminding me, at the very beginning “Minority Report”, the haunting story of Tom Cruise’s character when remembering his lost family) and still made no sense at all. What message does this campaign deliver?

Besides a prequel to Kate Moss wedding (said to be in September)? Because to me it looks more like fuel on hallucinogenic and live like a parasite kind of message. But that’s me, like I said, I’m a normal person.. What was your feeling?
