It’s not the happiest design, the dark colors add a stiff couture factor to the long pleated skirt and an increased dramatic percentage due to the plunging v-neck. But Anja Rubik wears it so happily casual, I’m now looking at this Chloe silk mousseline dress from a brighter, positive perspective! I wrote it down on a mental note for the next theater/opera fancy dressup. What do you do to tone down the preciousness of a clothing piece? (sure, that is by completely ignoring the $3,600 price tag!)

We do offer larger sizes at Versace […] . I certainly wouldn’t want to do a plus-size line, as I have no problem with women of any size wearing my clothes. I guess some styles lend themselves to being scaled up, while some others just don’t work. Sometimes it can depend on the specific piece.

However, if you still want to spend for fashion, Donatella said you’ll have to look for these items for they and they alone will glam you up:

Great hair, high-heeled shoes, a great jacket, and of course skintight pants. Jewelry always helps, too, just to add some sparkle.

What is your favourite place/time of year to shoot?
Florence in January during Pitti Uomo [the men’s trade show]: it draws chic men from all around the world, becoming a cornucopia of styles, price points and tastes.

What makes you want to take someone’s photo?
I try to stay open to the moment. I’m usually just reacting to what I see, and don’t know what I like “best” about someone’s style until I sit down to view the photographs later. I’m always looking to be surprised or to see something familiar in a new way: it could be about colour or proportion or just a person’s posture.

What is your one piece of fashion advice?
Dress for your lifestyle. Even though I love suits and the craftsmanship that goes into them, I don’t wear them much because I’m always out shooting in the streets.

All you have to focus on are shiny materials, anything goes as long as it shines, sparkles and reflects light. Also, a considerable skinny factor should be considered. Leggings, tights, body adherent fabrics, materials sticking to your anatomy for a comfortable and smooth clubbing night out. (the story continues right after the jump with more images!)

If you add some metallic accents or sparkling gems, there’s no need to dance, you have the night’s spotlight all on you! You’re in fashion and that shows! Now all you have to do is learn how to walk in towering high heels to match that skinny shiny getup! (good luck!) Oh, and if you really want to be the queen of the night wear a glove (only one) or a leather collar! You can’t go wrong if you choose one of those!

What eludes my understanding is why they photographed the model like she’d be experiencing some abdominal pains. Isn’t she supposed to be fierce and ferosh, all proud of her shiny, trendy outfit? hmmm…(now if you only want to dance, like me, you can just as well put on your favorite Converse All Stars and your favorite pantis with the widest, flare-est leg fit you can find in your closet and you’re set to go!) But the Uniform Project is something different! A great project with charity as end purpose and a very specific theme – wearing the same dress for 365 days! (the story continues after the jump with more pictures!)

It all started on May 1st with a custom designed dress (by Eliza Starbuck) that can be worn both ways. The 7 identical dresses are reinvented on a daily basis by Sheena Matheiken who’s helping raising funds for the Akanksha Foundation (which is trying to provide financial support to educational expenses for slum children in India).

I personally think this is not only a wonderful initiative and a great way to help spreading the education but it’s also an amazing fashion ambition. What makes fashion? But the Internet has that funny, most amazing way to twist things around and give you some crazy DIY ideas. For instance – the unique shirt, design by you! All you need is ink (an old pen or a new one you’re willing to sacrifice in the name of design) and a plain white shirt. (the story continues right after the jump with more pictures)

The shrine of design can be your own floor where you can just spill ink on that white t-shirt (you can even keep your eyes clothes, for a complete inspirational moment) and ta-daaaam! There you go! Peaches Geldof took her not-doing-anything-in-particular (but cashin-in-big-time) self and decided to throw a prints party in her closet. The few prints left standing were the winners of a stroll under heavy paps flashfire. I included this over-spiced outfit in the Fashion Disaster category because not even Peaches can get away with so much without looking like a walking, unassorted thrift store!
