Awwww! Look how sweet! Kim Kardashian is wearing the same clothes as Lady Gaga! Better yet: Lady Gaga is finally dressed like a human being! Salvatore Ferragamo’s Fall Winter 2011 2012 collection seems to be hitting big on both stars.

Lady Gaga was all matchy matchy with an equally black and white shoes and clutch from the catwalk look, plus hat and sunglasses (ohhhh, I have to say the shades really got me! She went too far, I think, matching everything! She even had paint work done on her leg, in the same print as everything else!). So for this one, I’m tempted to say that Kim Kardashian really got the look better than Lady Gaga. More lady-ish and way more elegant. Whose style side are you on? Were you aware of the fact that Total Recall is being remade? I only got word about this few days ago and there go the first press conference on the matter. It happened at San Diego’s ComicCon and it brought the actors and the public together.

Kate Beckinsale, Collin Farell, Jessica Biel to name just a few. Supposing that being young and famous calls for some heavy wardrobe eccentricities, I can close my eyes at Jessica Biel’s outfit. Although I cannot, for the life of me, understand how she can be looked at as stylish wearing that shorts bare midriff blouse combo. It’s just… wrong! Or not? Cast your vote right after the jump!

From the many things Mischa Barton is and could be, one beautiful May day she chose to be a trendsetter. Which is totally fine by me. Unless her perspective on fashion is a bit clown-y.

The charming young lady was seen wearing a highly coordinated outfit while leaving France: a mariniere and skinny jeans. The mariniere is the striped tee we’re used to seeing everywhere by now, in, most often, navy and white but also black and white. This time, Mischa chose a variation of the mariniere in red and white and she paired it with a pair of tight, skinny red jeans (plus some worn out looking boots).

But neither of the above is the key element of her getup! Oh, no! A pair of bright red (coordinated with her red-ish ensemble) very large round framed glasses mark the defining accessory of Mischa Barton’s look. If you’re wearing glasses and you just had enough of them and want to change the frames, would you conserve the initial ones in case you would want to wear them later… in a necklace? I love the magic of a DIY project and, generally, the outcome never fails to surprise me. In a good way.

Except this necklace case is a bit strange for my taste. It makes a pretty powerful statement, you wouldn’t need to say “hey, look, there’s a picture of me from the third grade – look at my glasses! They’re so yesterday!” If they could do a lamp from aviator sunglasses, why would such a necklace surprise me? You can cast your vote right after the image! (photo Easy Fashion)

With the Fashion Week on a roll, there come the fashion wonders too. Dressed like “n’importe quoi”, the fashion people swear on style and class when in fact they’re wearing mixed and little matched items, hoping their quirkiness will find understanding and appreciation beyond their very own sense of wardrobe.

While I have endless respect for the true fashion people who really are stylish and creatively choose their outfits with amazing inspiration and sartorial sense, I cannot understand those who praise strangeness and label it as fashion. Or style. Or class. And this glorious pair of jeans is one of those trends that should be hammered and banished into the Unstylish Abyss. Instead there it goes, out for everyone to see! The New Hippie Style

Growing up, the hippies were labeled with an entirely different aesthetic than what I’m trying to cope with right now as being hippie. All natural and as close to earth as possible, that was, I think, my rendition of a hippie (fashion) way.

Now with all things street style, I’m trying to squeeze in the new version of hippie. The modern hippie, it seems has little to do with the old age, original hippies. Except for the florals and bright colors, maybe. However, it’s nice to know that there’s a name for this kind of salad outfit! (that doesn’t stop you from casting your vote right after the image!)

Also – just curious, what are those big earlobe holes good for? Always wanted to know so thank you, in advance, for helping me out in my ear – quest! (photo Style Scout)

Lingerie For Everyone To See

Ever since her Gaganess made her way into the world wearing less pants and less tops than any of us dare to in the very privacy of our homes, the lingerie items we usually kept underneath claim their right to coming out.

It’s something I’ve always cringed outside the stage where the likes of Cher and Madonna (and I’m sure many others) promoted this kind of entertaining costume. Wearing your lingerie for everyone to see, purposely, just doesn’t sound good or fashionable enough to me. If you’ll scroll down, you’ll see just why.

A recent Face Hunted drew my attention because she was wearing her bra on her tee. (and even though I think I spot a second bra underneath the tee – correct me if I’m wrong – her daring lingerie move doesn’t strike me as fashionable). She’s a very pretty young lady, photographed in Kuala Lumpur, wearing something you will help me describe by casting your vote after the first image!

Wide Leg Jeans: Hip Or Hippie?

Walking the fashstreet of the interwebs, my heart was immediately drawn to the image you’ll find below. Not because I’m dreaming of hot summer days. No. Ok, maybe a little that too. Mostly because of the jeans. Wide leg jeans. I love them so!

I think there’s an above-the-trends quality to them, something that skinny jeans will never raise up to. Though I won’t deny my normally skinny self a pair of good fitting skinny jeans paired with towering heels, wide leg jeans own my heart. They’re wide enough to hide a shamefully good meal, they’re impossibly comfortable and, if picked well (and worn well), they’re stunningly stylish. Now looking at the image below (and wide leg jeans examples you might have in your head), what do you think : wide leg jeans are hip or hippie? Cast your vote after the image! Bright Outfits For Cold Days?

I was wondering – even if I love dressing my kids in vivid, bright colors, any season, would I take the bright risk when it comes to my own wardrobe? Especially during the cold season? Would I feel cheered up, warmed up if I’d be dressed in bright fuchsia? Eye – scorching orange? Head turning electric blue?

I found this little example to illustrate my point: this fashionable young man dressed in a purple suit, blindness inducing white shirt, blue bow tie aaaaand, the bag! Look at that bag! There’s nothing quite like it! Not even the purple suit! So how do you treat bold colors in winter? Pretty much everything I saw / decorated lately was on the orange-y palette. Fall does that to one’s inspiration.

However, when it comes to fashion and true style, there’s no chromatic limitation whatsoever, not to mention seasonal influence. Or so I figured after I saw this (lovely) picture of a (lovely) lady wearing a flowers crown. White flowers crown. How is that fall-ish and how is that wearable on a fall fashion day, you tell me!
