A solo Robert Pattinson on the December 2009 cover of Vanity Fair but a couple-ish Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart break on the December 2009 cover of Harper’s Bazaar. It’s all happening this December 2009, on a magazines stand near you! (the story continues with more images right after the jump!)

I’m seriously waiting for his Twimoment to fade into something more substantial before I say that Robert Pattinson was made for one role and one role only. Even if everyone (and their respective dogs) was expecting a “Breaking Dawn” revelation about his rumored relationship with co-star Kristen Stewart, there’s nothing even remotely close to a confession. Instead you get (longer than my available patience) interviews and loads of photos signed by Bruce Weber (for Vanity Fair) and Mark Selinger (for Harper’s Bazaar).

I still hold a positive perspective over Twilight and everything around it. Well, almost everything. But not because it’s an overwhelmingly literary and cultural phenomenon but because it still delivers the true love message. And that’s always a good thing. Instead of seeing them ditching every single value we used to cherish to “outdated” and not hype anymore, it’s a good believe to install in our young generation’s hearts. That there’s still love, true love out there. Lasting and powerful.

If you’re wondering how come they cover Harper’s Bazaar posing like a couple (as well as the pictorial inside, stubbornly insinuating a relationship between the two co-stars), don’t think further than bank accounts: Harper’s Bazaar and Vanity Fair respectively, for one and New Moon box office on the other hand. I like Kristen’s apparent lack of interest for her new found fame. She looks like a normal teen and that’s good. But I keep in mind the fact that everything-Hollywood is basically made of smoke and mirrors and these two covers are living, print proof!

Getting back to Robert Pattinson: despite of him being compared to the likes of James Dean more often than I care to remember, I want to see more of his so-called rebel acting genius before judging him on or off. For now the only pro I give him just because is having a British accent. And that’s all, folks! What do you make of Robert Pattinson, outside Edward Cullen? Cam is a very normal guy outside his Twilight ventures and he looks like a very careful, caring father to his adorable baby girl. There’s something about (Hollywood-made) tough-looking guys holding tiny babies. Especially when they’re holding their pacifiers too! Makes you feel like there’s still hope in this world. 50 Cent aka Curtis Jackson came from the streets, like most hip hop and rap artists do and he integrated, just like the others, his “hood” life, his background, in his music. Of course he had some serious backup or he wouldn’t have made it so big just singing, like all others, about the hard ‘nock life. Eminem and Dr Dre produced his commercial success and enabled him to get larger than a simple rap artist: he even founded his record label G-Unit Records and also appeared in few movies, not to mention he branded his artist name and went commercial with it.

What makes fifty so special and why he got so notorious so fast? His legend surpassed him. He was shot nine times and made it (now don’t get me started on how good the shooter really was, however, being shot at very close range so many times and survive the incident is definitely something worth telling and speculating: he even has his own video game called 50 Cent: Bulletproof).

50 Cent stroke the winning chord and now he’s making it swing again with a fragrance called “Power”. With not very much left for the imagination, the fragrance aims at an immediate success appealing at those (who besides knowing and appreciating 50) want to feel the empowerment and the confidence that drove Curtis Jackson to becoming 50 Cent.

Before anything, let me just state the clear as daylight fact that Ewan McGregor is one of the Great Scots. Those unbelievably fresh looks getting better with age can’t be other than a Scot’s own. (the story continues with more images right after the jump!)

Now I’ll serve you with few facts from Ewan’s biography, so we get to know him as a person (a bit), something more than a simple magazine or paparazzi picture does. Born in Scotland’s Perthshire on March 31, 1971, Ewan Gordon McGregor grew up with his mother, a retired teacher and his father, a physical education teacher. Though his academic family has no apparent liaison with the movie industry, his mother’s brother (his uncle), Denis Lawson was the source of inspiration for Ewan’s future career choice.

Attending Sunday School regularly has brought him to a play about David and Goliath. Being written especially for him, the part of David was brightly interpreted by the young Ewan (who later on performed Grease’s Olivia Newton-John musical parts in the playground recreation with a mate). Also he was a big fan of Elvis whom he imitated religiously with every occasion. The song that got to young Ewan’s heart and stayed with him as a very emotional song is “Old Shep”, also reprised by Elvis (you can listen to it here).

Ewan wasn’t the school-boy type at all. He liked music and art (he even played the French horn and won a prize for that) but wasn’t keen at spelling and grammar. He left Morrison’s Academy when he was sixteen and immediately got a stagehand job at Perth Theatre where he was interested in everything in and around the stage. That got him a place in a drama course at Kirkcaldy College of Technology. Two years later he came to London, auditioning for drama schools (he was rejected by the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts but was accepted at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama).

After his Lipstick On Your Collar TV Series lead role, Ewan McGregor had an open route to success. After numerous roles, along came Trainspotting (1996 – whoa! Has it really been that long?) a serious milestone in Ewan McGregor’s career. And in case you were wondering if ever he experimented with heroin himself, the answer is no. He only documented his role by speaking with real life junkies and then he decided to follow a very strict diet for serious weight loss.

Though motorcycles are a true and lasting love of Ewan’s, we must note that he’s also a married man. And not to a bi-wheeled vehicle! Ewan McGregor met his wife, Eve Mavrakis, on the set of the Kavanagh QC. Eve and Ewan are proud parents to their two daughters and an adopted Mongolian-born girl, Jamiyian. He continued his rich acting career with parts in comedy, drama and scifi movies. His latest achievement will be released this November: The Men Who Stare at Goats (where he plays alongside George Clooney, Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges – side note – can’t wait to see that one! ).

Though he’s a very busy actor and family man, he also found time to be a Unicef Ambassador (more about his Unicef involvement here). What you should also know about Ewan is that he’s a reformed badboy, previously alcoholic turned around from the Dark Side.
