Anyway, Tilda Swinton continues to represent for the Italian Jeweler Pomellato (after the jump, there’s Tilda’s 2011 campaign for Pomellato’s Nude – pretty. And I mean it! And that’s not an easy attribute to label Tilda with!). She even hosted a boutique opening for Pomellato’s Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills on Monday, January 30th. Pomellato’s new ad campaign is lovely, all kinds of artsy while the Nudo Rings are pure delight. Celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, the said jewelry pieces are really versatile, all in being simple and eye catching enough to be statement accessories.

Now: there’s a fine line between hip and flop. Pale-ish, white-ish is the new color for evening wear, hence Tilda, who is a celebrated fashionista, was sporting the must wear color. All I want to know is didn’t anyone tell her she forgot to take her pajama off? It was an official event, after all!

It may not be a red soled one, or an architectural Kirkwood, but it’s surely one of the cutest stilettos I’ve ever seen! And I’m sure this really sends a message, more than any Louboutins will ever do (unless Mr Louboutin plans on releasing a pair of red soled platforms earrings – wink). In a word – I love these wee sparkling sandals! I’d definitely like to wear them! And I’d even wear a corset ring to match! (check it out after the jump! Anyway, here’s a fist look at the ad campaign for the above mentioned collection. More pictorials I see, more I understand why Kate Moss is such a highly esteemed model. Even this Fred campaign is a good example to illustrate how Kate Moss is wearing the clothes / jewelry and not the other way around. She has a status of her own, something we’ll only see happening with one of the Supers and less with today’s models. Why is that, anyway? Why do they have to go over the top with the styling and everything when really, less is more? (oh, and just one word about Kate’s Fred collection – I love it!)

The 2011 Holidays Ad Campaign from the iconic jewelry brand brings Laetitia Casta into the spotlight. Flawless, unbelievably charming Laetitia in one of those fairy tale like love stories with a happy bling ending. I must say, though I appreciate Laetitia and usually love Tiffany’s campaigns, between this one and Tiffany’s weddings one, I’m definitely sold for the latter. Shown earlier this year, Tiffanny & Co’s video was really magical! You could feel the sparkle. This one – not. No sparkle. The girl is beautiful, the jewelry is exquisite. The campaign is impeccable overall. Only the “True Love Grows” dream was more believable to me. Am I the only one?

Some were funny, some were not. In the funny category hereby The Cupcakes Eyelash Jewelry! It’s funny enough to be worn as it is, to compliment a playful look, or part of a Lolita getup. There’s a little bit for every taste – eggs and bacon, apples and autumn leaves, flowers and ladybugs. And, although I admit I’m not exactly a pro when it comes to false eyelashes and how to glue them on, I’d love to try this. Because it’s fun. And we know she likes her hair accessories big and interesting, don’t we? However, this last one doesn’t look like a classical Philip Treacy to me! Sarah Jessica Parker was wearing a hair piece strikingly similar to a necklace! Or a tiara on the side. It’s hard to classify it as I’m not really familiar with this kind of hair accessory. On the other hand, it appears to be a real trend going with necklaces worn as hair accessories – think Lady Gaga at the MTV Video Music Awards this year and some more necklaces worn as headbands I came across looking around for more on the matter (some pieces come from Dauphines Of New York, some are of unknown origin). I’m asking you straight up if you’re into this bling your hair thing because as far as I’m concerned I think I’m still stuck with the bows (wink)!

It appears that in their need / want to engage more with the end customer, the luxury brands (at least as far as fashion goes) have launched Facebook exclusive offers. Oscar de la Renta’s perfume was already big with me, so hearing that they had an exclusive with a catwalk ring which contained The Esprit D’Oscar solid perfume makes me feel like I’ve missed out on a great opportunity! Do you think they should do this more often? Offer exclusive sales on Facebook? (Chanel tried to do that avant the launch of the Coco Shine lipstick, Bvlgari had reportedly implemented the Facebook commerce but they suspended it after three months. Are you familiar with other similar activities going around?)
