I don’t mind, I love it anyway – especially loved the Mohawk braid? It’s something I haven’t tried yet – that could also work perfectly with twisted buns all the way down (or up, depending on where you start the Mohawk). So what’ll be? Twist or Braid? Although very similar with her old haircut, Olivia Wilde’s new haircut sweetens her look and also gives it a young, modern twist. I’m more and more inclined to do the bob myself! How do you like Olivia Wilde’s new hair? (the pictures were taken at the Palm Springs Gala, the same event where we saw Angelina and Brad too)

It would appear that stiff celebrities aren’t that stiff after all – we’ve watched Angelina Jolie a while ago talking about herself and her projects and being all charming about it. Now it’s Gwyneth who stole my heart with her candid, joyful way of being. Despite of all the negativity she constantly receives be it for her looks, her singing or her web initiative.

Now about what Gwyneth said – she said her blowout is ruined the minute the kitchen heat touches the back of her neck. And, more importantly, Gwyneth talked about Vogue’s black covers and about teaching her kids to embrace a wide perspective on life, without being narrowed by race / color issues. Loved that! Now – I came across this pictorial from a (apparently Vogue) fashion magazine circa 1997. I’ll keep the “so beautiful” comments short because I really want us to focus on the hair – This is how my hair looks like. And I bet many of you can say that. My unstyled locks are identical to those shown by Shalom Harlow in this pictorial. And normally, they’d be labeled with a “messy” attribute and I’d be advised to consult with a specialist before going out the door looking like that.

But you know what? There’s nothing wrong with your hair looking like that! Real hair, real curls are so rare to find these days, it has become an eccentricity to show them off! I’m so over curling iron curls! I’m so done with straightener’s twirls! I love my hair all natural. And if we stand tall, proud of who we are, we’ll make it fashionable again! Look at Franca Sozzani – I don’t remember seeing a single picture of her with styled / straightened hair! And she’s a Vogue editor, for hair’s sake! So? Will you join me in my natural hair crusade?

Aside from Katy Perry’s new multicolored slick bob (you know, the bob again), you have to check out her white leather dress with studs from the Versace Spring Summer 2012 collection (you know there was a similar dress in the H & M Versace collection too)! It’s so… edgy. So unusual for Katy’s normal playful style! I mean.. Versace and playful just don’t go together. Do they? Well, my daaahlings, that’s simply because I think there’s not enough coverage on natural hair nowadays. Everyone is striving so hard to reshape, reinvent, replace their natural hair that an alarmingly high percentage of women ends up admitting that they’re completely unsatisfied with their natural hair. How is that even possible? Why would we consciously opt out living in peace with our God given hair? I always thought that embracing and loving who you really are is the key to a better living. To a better you.

The new Rag & Bone ad campaign which features a handful of models photographed by themselves or by someone close enough to catch them off – makeup, off – heavy styling shows a very natural and charming Candice. Her blonde locks, otherwise sleek and straight bounced up in a gorgeous, joyful curly mane! Natural hair rocks!

However, sometimes fashion picks on all the wrong things to become a trend (remember all that fetish thing going on, all the underwear worn as proper clothing to name just two wrongs made right by fashion standards). Which brings me to…Drew Barrymore, one of my favorite actresses.

She has this amazingly cute smile I can’t do otherwise but smile back at her (/picture). Earlier this year, Drew had dyed her hair red. Red – ish. And we love redhaired beauties around here (wink). Now Drew just got back to her brown – to dark – blond two toned ombré haircolor (she used to sport this before – see after the jump – she even went for a black tips do once!). Should we follow?

We’re used to seeing Candice Swanepoel waif thin, wearing as little as a VS bathing suit, passing her fingers through her straight blond locks. Well, my curled hair sisters, here’s Candice photographed by JR Duran with a beautiful head full of golden curls! Isn’t she adorable?

And we know she likes her hair accessories big and interesting, don’t we? However, this last one doesn’t look like a classical Philip Treacy to me! Sarah Jessica Parker was wearing a hair piece strikingly similar to a necklace! Or a tiara on the side. It’s hard to classify it as I’m not really familiar with this kind of hair accessory. On the other hand, it appears to be a real trend going with necklaces worn as hair accessories – think Lady Gaga at the MTV Video Music Awards this year and some more necklaces worn as headbands I came across looking around for more on the matter (some pieces come from Dauphines Of New York, some are of unknown origin). I’m asking you straight up if you’re into this bling your hair thing because as far as I’m concerned I think I’m still stuck with the bows (wink)!
