Now let’s get to the point: what should we eat (and when) to look (and feel) like a model? (the answer after the jump!)

Power Breakfast: high-fiber cereal with low-fat milk; yogurt with wheat germ; scrambled eggs with whole-grain toast or pita; omelets stuffed with veggies and reduced-fat cheese; toasted whole-grain English muffin topped with peanut butter (or few tomato slices and melted low-fat cheese). Don’t forget the fresh fruits!

Eat throughout the day, every few hours: yogurt or cottage cheese with fresh fruit; peanut-butter sandwich on whole-wheat bread; turkey or grilled-chicken wrap with veggies; soy crisps; trail mix; granola bars; nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios, soy nuts); sunflower seeds, fresh fruits and string cheese.

Hydrate: nine cups of fluids per day, more if you’re very active or working in a hot environment. Carry a bottle of water with you. Also consider water-rich fruits and veggies: apples, berries, melons, peaches, pears, plums, oranges, asparagus, broccoli, carrots, celery, cucumbers, bell peppers, spinach. Coffee and cold/hot tea (any flavor) are also permitted and encouraged.

Food for your hair: skinless chicken and turkey, fish and seafood, pork tenderloin, lean beef, eggs, beans, lentils, soy (soybeans, soy nuts, tofu).
Food for your skin: broccoli, grapefruit, bell peppers, mango, oranges, strawberries, kale, sweet potatoes, carrots, pumpkin, butternut, acorn squash, cantaloupe, apricots.
Food for your teeth: nonfat/low-fat yogurt/milk, low-fat cheese, fortified soy milk, frozen yogurt, low-fat ice cream, beans, broccoli.

I’m starting the official Food’n'Style files with something sweet via Bakeaholic. A very simple recipe that I haven’t actually tried myself but I’m planning to because it’s surprisingly easy to do and terribly inviting! The Bite-Sized Ice Cream Sundaes (chocolate coated) only require few simple ingredients: Ice Cream, 1 Banana, 4-5 baking squares of Chocolate! (the recipe with pictures right after the jump!)

You also need a cookie tray, tooth picks and wax paper/aluminum foil. Now let’s get down to business! Place the cookie tray with the was paper/aluminum foil in the freezer for about 10-15 min. In the mean time, prepare the ice cream scoops (using a melon baler or an ice scream scoop) and slice the banana into (not too thin) slices. Place them at a small distance, in the chilled cookie tray and then back in the freezer for 20-30 min.

Take them out and make tiny sandwiches placing the ice cream on top of each banana slice. Fix them together using a toothpick and back into the freezer for 10-15min. In the mean time, you should get your chocolate ready for dipping in the ice scoops sandwiches. Melt the chocolate (using either a double boiler or a larger pot with water and a smaller one on top, without being touched by water) slowly, and once melted, remove from heat and rest until it’s just warm and ready to dip.

Take the frozen ice cream sandwiches and dip them into the warm melted chocolate. Remove the excess chocolate and place them back in the chilled cookie tray and back into the freezer for about 20 min.

You can use any ice cream you want, use more bananas for more sweet iced treats (make sure to modify all the ingredients accordingly) . Also, you can sprinkle some crushed peanuts or colored chocolate sprinkles, anything that tickles your imagination!

I guess spreading the news about Madonna designing a collection for the brand is not profitable enough to make Christian Audigier come up with the wines autographing thing… The Ed Hardy wines are said to come by ways of France and cost about $20 for a regular bottle of 750ml. There’s everything in the Ed Hardy wines collection: Rosé, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Chardonnay.(the story continues right after the jump with more images!)

When it comes to “designing” wines, I wish Christian Audigier had stick to dressing those bottles up: a cap here, a t-shirt there… But in a world where Leon Verres could squeeze in with his so-called champagne, we could overlook the Ed Hardy wines too, right? (photos via 1, 2)
