Heidi Klum’s post-baby body isn’t kept in the shadow, oh-no! The anything-but-shy uber-mon-uber-model shows us how good she looks with nothing more than shaving cream (or something) on! Literally! However, there’s still to debate whether Gisele falls into the models category or is she just being transplanted to the “starland”! Why? All you have to do is read fragments of the web article to see the dream life she’s leading with a perfectly fit athlete and her perfectly harmonious spirit. I know you heard this before, and you’ve even heard it from me, still, I feel compelled to repeat myself: Gisele has that mummy look she never had before. Yep, mothers do have something special in their look. Especially in their early mothers life! That brings something new to old Gisele, too bad it’s not Anna’s contribution. What irks me about this Gisele’s Earth Mother story is the sanctification of Gisele’s persona. Suddenly she’s more than a model. She’s a Na’vi! How uninspired and entertainment-submerged must be the person who wrote the article as to talk about a real life person in computer-sci-fi generated terms?

From all the world’s vocabulary, it had to be Na’vi? (for those of you who are not yet familiarized with the concept and the visuals, Na’vi is the computer generated population from the planet Pandora, also fruit of Avatar’s scenarists imagination!) I admire Gisele and feel the righteousness of her covering Vogue’s Shape issue. Then again, if we’re to relate to shape issues, why bring on a goddess to make us all feel puny and irrelevant? Especially all those young mothers who look nothing near Gisele only four months after giving birth?

To draw an early conclusion before feeling the tension mount: this is yet another perfect example of how Anna likes to hide fashion underneath thick layers of entertainment and Good Ol’ American dream stories. And then we all wake up to this cloudy reality far from the Na’vi ideals and wonder if those who depressed from not being able to touch the Pandora reality were that off the common sense line! This time, however, I won’t try to convince you about anything, the following stands by itself to prove that Vs. is, with any doubt, not your average magazine. And their upcoming issue, with Claudia Schiffer, Vanessa Paradis, Bar Refaeli and Claire Danes is set to amaze your aesthetics. (don’t miss the rest of the story and the images right after the jump! Four covers are ready for the Vs. SS 2010 issue. One more beautiful than the other, each with a strong personality and message. I’ll take Claudia and concentrate on her part in this Vs. Magazine issue: she’s impersonating Miss Julie (yes, Strindberg’s Fröken Julie), something quite different and new from her previous, boring Brigitte Bardot-esques pictorials you can find in so many other magazines.

If you’re slightly familiar with the play’s story, you’ll know that Miss Julie’s tragic, contradictory self isn’t easy to portray. Nevertheless, with a little help from Kayt Jones photographic skills, Claudia manages a wonderful, both fashionable and artistic visual moment. A dreamer, a woman, yet with such hautain-ish, aristocratic gestures and strong postures, Claudia’s Miss Julie isn’t something I’d want to miss! There’s also a short film on Vs. site, a short film with scenes from the shooting itself plus vintage frames building the atmosphere. That and Massive Attack’s Angel really make this Kayt Jones directed film striking and as noir as every Miss Julie act should be. So I’m graciously encouraging you to watch it on Vs ‘ site!

Talking about few of the most notable appearances of the night didn’t leave me without fuel to go on and mention the others. And not because I wouldn’t have graced them with an individual article, but because it’s about time we wrap up the fairytale-ish event that was the 82nd Academy Awards Ceremony! The tone of the night was pretty much into neutrals. Beige, chair, butter-y nuaces, everything it takes to make a significantly subtle elegance work better than a thousand sequins. However, notably missing last night were the prints! With Maggie Gyllenhaal’s exception (and what a lovely one, might I add! My favorite from this edition of the Oscars!), our beloved stars weren’t into print-experimenting. Less is more, and right they were!

The Red Carpet usuals: Marchesa, Elie Saab, Armani, Versace, even Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Dior, and Chanel were exposed under our very eyes. Talking about the Marchesa girls only leads us to the next glam-pack: the Armani girls: Amanda Seyfried and Jennifer Lopez. Both attending the Ceremony for presenting purposes, both wearing stunning dresses with the Armani Prive label on, both from the Spring Summer 2010 collection. Both equally charming and glamorous.

Next is the Elie Saab pack: Anna Kendrick and Rachel McAdams. If Anna Kendrick falls in the buttery category with a beautiful dress from the Spring Summer 2010 Couture collection, Rachel McAdams went further, within the same collection, finding something different. Something printed! But oh, did she look like poetry in motion! Rarely have I seen such complimenting dress! This Elie Saab Spring 2010 couture was made for Rachel McAdams!

It’s time for Atelier Versace: Demi Moore and Elizabeth Banks. Also presenting during the night, the two ladies chose two stunning designs from Atelier Versace, both on the burned sided of the colors palette.

Last but not least, few of my favorite ladies: Meryl Streep, the wonderful Meryl Streep was dressed in white! Wearing a dress from Chris March, Meryl was flawlessly elegant like she always is. Mo’Nique (the winner of an Oscar award for the Best Supporting Actress) had an electric blue dress from Tadashi Shoji. Charlize Theron was Dior faithful (not sure why she had that orangey-red lipstick on, though), Penelope Cruz had a burgundy number from Donna Karan Couture, Mariska Hargitay had a deep dark blue Vera Wang, pretty much the same color as Kristen Stewart’s Monique Lhuillier. Magically matching her eyes and also being signed by her de coeur, Dries Van Noten’s Fall 2010 dress (slightly adjusted and customized), Maggie’s dress is my favorite of the night. (Maggie chose Dries Van Noten not just because it’s her favorite designer, but also because her wedding dress was carrying the same signature – and her husband, Peter Sarsgaard was wearing his wedding tux at tonight’s Oscars Ceremony! Either way, Zoe Saldana’s smile could carry the world, let alone this wonderful Givenchy dress! Walking the 2010 Oscars Red Carpet, Zoe is charming and modest as always. The Givenchy Spring Summer 2010 dress truly brings a fresh air for this edition of the Oscar Awards Ceremony (I though she would wear something Na’vi blue.. Guess I was wrong!)
