However, if you take a look at Milla‘s hair, you’ll notice a lovely retro hair piece. And although it’s just as shiny and sparkling as the dress, I get the feeling they don’t work towards the same 5th element vibe I was getting earlier. Kate Upton showed up at the 2012 amfAR Gala wearing a Louis Vuitton dress (which seemed torn from the Fall Winter 2012 2013 collection). Too busy for a summer soiree, too much for Kate’s already too feminine silhouette, in other words – in my perspective, this is the perfect illustration of bad frocks happening to good people! One of the dresses she was wearing at Cannes this weekend, was a particularly eye stealing gown signed by the great Dame of Fashion, Vivienne Westwood! But did you know that the dress is part of a more extended collection (duh!), a Red Carpet Capsule Collection inspired by Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee? You can actually own the silver version of the Sol sequined crepe gown if you have $4,520 laying around. Either way, Diane really wore it good (see more images of her in the gallery, here)

Diane Kruger’s custom pale aqua Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dress was all kinds of fairy – tale-ish. The cape fluttered in the wind creating this surreal vision of style worn gracefully by flawless Diane in front of the photographers’ cascading enthusiasm.

See through black lace Comme Des Garcons dress and white boxer shorts! Which is actually a completely legitimate design from Rei Kawakubo’s Spring Summer 2012 Men Collection. Only sifted through Marc Jacobs’ style equals a lot of skin. A lot! Look at the bright side, though – he kept his undies on!

Because although Cameron Diaz is a gorgeous woman with an enviable silhouette, her lack of waist and extreme workout sessions enveloped Cameron’s body in a bodybuilder aura. And what’s that textured bottom? It’s an unhappy picture angle or the simple sartorial truth? Either way, if I were to pick a disappointing look at the 2012 edition of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Ball, this would pretty much be it! Because Cameron can do so much better! In short – Kate Bosworth was one of the best dressed attendants at the special Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Ball. And she made it look so effortless and cool! Just wow!
