After they made an episode with Muscle Man Marc (aka Marc Jacobs in South Park’s vision), Marc Jacobs returned the favor (umm..) by creating a series of T-shirts to benefit The Interdisciplinary Melanoma Cooperative Group (from the NYU). Three South Park characters (Eric Cartman, Butters Stotch, Randy Marsh) are now printed on $35 Marc by Marc Jacobs tees! South Park-ers rejoice!

Lady White Snake is a new fashion film directed by Indrani, starring Daphne Guinness who gets to wear some very interesting pieces (from Alexander McQueen, Genghis Khan (?), Gareth Pugh, Philip Treacy, Fred Leighton, Bess) and behaves like the walking rare art form that she is. The legend in itself, although not a happy one, has been romanticized over the years and this could be one of those love-y forms, depicting a sentimental story between Daphne and, possibly, Alexander McQueen. These are just speculations as the official truth will surface this very Sunday, February 12 2012 at the screening of The Legend of Lady White Snake when 12 life size prints with images from the Markus Klinko & Indrani special collaboration will be sold to benefit Charity: Water and Indrani’s Indian school for women empowerment. They had me at “McQueen tribute” so the images only confirm the visual bliss that is this short fashion film!

Tod’s (yes, the same Tod’s for which Gwyneth Paltrow used to represent) has apparently set up a guarantee fund for the restoration of the Colosseum (10 million euros, $12,7 Million) to start the works at the Colosseum. However, this is not something Tod’s is doing for free (although they reportedly denied it): for the entire duration of the restoration of the monument (for which they’re willing to donate 25 Million euros – $31,8 Million), Tod’s ads would be visible on the Colosseum’s protective wraps. However, it is said that their sponsorship proposal has been rejected. Looking forward for Tod’s next move… (I wonder if Hermes could do the same if ever a restoration plan of the Eiffel Tower would be set in motion! and… Ralph Lauren for Mount Rushmore)

Though we wish them blessings and many happy years together if it’ll happen one day!

Aside from it being designed by Azzedine Alaia, I can’t put my finger on something really impressive when looking at these interiors. Sure, the couch has the wow – factor to the max, the furniture is under the minimal sign, young designers and vintage go together hand in hand. But… where’s the coziness of it all?
