So Hermes teamed up with Leica (again) for a special release of the M9 – P camera. A very limited edition (300 pieces with silver anodized lens plus another 100 with three lenses, a hand crafted Hermes camera bag and a book with 200 photos taken by Jean – Louis Dumas, former Hermes president, with his personal Leica M camera) – images with the complete set after the jump.

I’m sure you all noticed the leather on the camera’s body – if, in the case of the previous Hermes Leica collaboration, we had two color versions, the reports I’ve seen thus far, detailing this new camera revamp, don’t mention any other leather color for the outside shell. Well, my dahlings, the bag in question is a blue Chyc Cabas from Yves Saint Laurent. It’s really hard to really estimate the exact measurements of Angelina’s blue bag, as the size makes all the difference in YSL Chyc Cabas series – from the large YSL Cabas Chyc which costs $2,895 to the Small YSL Cabas Chyc at $1,795, there’s plenty to choose from in both size and color (you can see more colors in the gallery, here or head down to the YSL store here). Pretty timeless, huh?

And to be perfectly honest, judging by the looks of the totes created for the cause, they might stand a chance. Maybe. Diane von Furstenberg, Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, Robert Geller, Tommy Hilfiger, The Row and many other designers interpreted the anti – counterfeit tote in their manner. Each of the gorgeous bags below has a retail price of $200. If this tag worries you, reports state that a cheaper, standard version is available too. And that one costs $45. I like it. It would be suitable for so many purposes and if it’s anything like Levi’s jeans, it will last you forever. And then some! I love the iconic red tab and the Levi’s label. In my opinion, it’s more suitable for every day use than – say – a Louis Vuitton! Not to mention at least 5 times cheaper! Would you wear this Levi’s tote? Alice Dellal’s Chanel Campaign My New Friend, Boy.

My tote was a rattling snake – all the tiny cars, dangling colorful plastic toddler chewing toys, it was all making this sweet music with every step I took. With time, I came to understand that my huge tote, as must – have as it was declared by the fashion industry, it was more of a kids – carry – all than a tote for me. So I kept it. For kids purpose only. As for me, I downsized to a tiny messenger bag. (now that I got that out of the way and you know all about my tote habits, it’s time to get to the Mini Hermes point, after the jump!)

Hermes Birkin and Hermes Kelly. It’s hard to find someone who doesn’t know just what those names mean exactly. Iconic? It’s an understatement! It’s kind of the bags’ Cadillac! So how would you feel about a tiny version of the legends? Clearly more discrete and less common than the usual Chanel quilted handbag, the Boy Chanel is an interesting alternative bag. Do you think it will replace the classic 2.55?

(Lily Allen, Blake Lively, Alice Dellal. Der Kaiser is really unpredictable when it comes to choosing his leading ladies. Now let’s cross fingers and hope it won’t be Rooney Mara, his next marketing sweetheart! After all, if H&M saw a powerful, independent woman in her GWTDT character, Lisbeth, why wouldn’t Lagerfeld?) How about some class, Karl? We’d love to see that from Chanel! Wouldn’t we?
