Natalia Vodianova’s Eighties Vogue Russia June 2012 Cover

I was really impressed by Gisele Bundchen’s cheeky Vogue Paris June 2012 cover. It has summer written all over it! In my perspective, at least! But looking at Natalia Vodianova’s photo on the cover of Vogue Russia June 2012, I get frozen shivers down my spine!

There’s so much working against this cover, I’ll try to pick just a few reasons to pass it: the hair – there is such a thing as too eighties! Natalia’s face expression: why so sad and indifferent, Natalia? The yellow shorts: not. even. worth. mentioning! Whoever styled and approved of this, better have something really good inside, otherwise tons of magazines will end up in some basement somewhere. In the dark. Where nobody can see this cover!

Karl Lagerfeld In Saint Tropez. Jean Roch ft Snoop Dogg Music Video

Remember when we asked ourselves what was wrong with Karl Lagerfeld for supporting and promoting Baptiste Giabiconi’s music (and consequent music videos)? I really thought (hoped is a more accurate description) that der Kaiser had more select tastes when it comes to music.

This barely launched video doesn’t help brushing Lagerfeld’s cult listening preferences. In fact, Jean Roch’s childish tune & video suggestively titles “Saint – Tropez” should have more negative impact on Chanel’s head designer’s reputation rather than highlighting his excellent taste. Actually, this song fits right into the Chanel Cruise 2013 picture – I still don’t know if I should laugh or cry!

How. Is. This. Even. Possible? If you think I’m overreacting, please hit the play button to listen and marvel yourself at Jean Roch Ft Snoop Dogg and Karl Lagerfeld Saint Tropez!

Chanel Resort 2013 Collection, Versailles Eye Candy

Although everyone seems to be on their high couture horses for the new Chanel Cruise 2013 collection, I’m not certain whether I should cry or laugh at Karl Lagerfeld’s new fashion design deed. If they’ll do a Marie Antoinette parody, they could use some of his Cruise 2013 creations as costumes.

The Kaiser was deeply moved by France’s politics as of late (the very recent elections appointed a left president) but that didn’t stop him from delivering a candy – like collection. Harajuku meets Marie Antoinette. I’m really curious to see the stylists’ interpretations in fashion magazines. What do you think their perspective will be?
