Marc Jacobs Undresses For Graffiti New Collection In Harper’s Bazaar January 2009
December 4th, 2008 by kpriss
I often ask myself what makes Marc Jacobs so popular and loved? He’s up and down fashion creativeness isn’t one of the reasons, I’m sure!
Now I think I know the answer – his nude posing! Marc Jacobs loves to expose himself. Ever since he lost his chubby appearance, his adoration for his new body is unbelievable. Now he tagged himself with Louis Vuitton à la Graffiti style and posed with a reinvention of late Stephen Sprouse’s Graffiti LV series. The shot wasn’t wrapped up by Juergen Teller, as you may think (or suspect from the looks of it) but by Terry Richardson.(more after the jump)

Supermodels World: Claudia Schiffer YLS Spring Summer 2009
December 4th, 2008 by kpriss
While last year she was rolling at the Kaiser’s command for Chanel, Claudia has moved on and received yet another glorious ad campaign.
Last for Yves Saint Laurent was Naomi Campbell, before that, Kate Moss. With two supers consequently in a year of ad campaigns, Yves Saint Laurent is clearly promoting the Supermodels Reign over fashion and all things connected. Claudia Schiffer is the Spring face for YSL legendary Manifesto. While Kate Moss did a hallucinating (literally) video last year, I hope for better this Valentine’s, when Claudia’s YSL Manifesto will be released. I was getting used to Naomi YSL campaign. She looked far better (to me) than Claudia Schiffer for YSL. Which do you prefer? (via wwd)

UPDATE: More pictures from the YSL Spring Summer 2009 ad campaign added right after the jump!
Bryanboy: From Blogger To Model
December 4th, 2008 by kpriss
You remember Bryanboy, the inspiration behind Marc Jacob’s latest ad campaign? Well, he’s moving up in industry.
After having a bag made especially (or that’s what we’re lead to believe) for him, he’s taking things to another level with a quick modeling gig. Jaeha’s Alex Kim is so enthusiastic about Bryanboy’s androgynous appearance and his internet ways that he’s (almost) ready to declare him a spokeface for the brand. Considering this another one of those brave and inspiring examples of how can blogging turn you into a celebrity (besides the notorious case of Mr Sartorialist), who do you prefer? Bryanboy or Scott Schuman? (more after the jump)

Victoria Beckham Collection Ad Campaign
December 3rd, 2008 by kpriss
Unless you don’t watch TV, don’t read the press and have absolutely no internet access, Victoria Beckham has no more secrets to you! She’s a self proclaimed fashionista, a self made style icon, former girls band singer, former ad campaign model, fragrance maker now turned designer with a (decent) clothing collection of her own.
You might be interested to see her ad campaign. It’s a video commercial we have for now. And just for the record, any resemblance to the last Marc Jacobs ad campaign is (not) purely incidental!! Let me know what you think!
Anna Wintour Replaced By Carine Roitfeld?
December 3rd, 2008 by kpriss
You’ve heard it too… Rumor has it that Anna Wintour’s reign was cut short by French Nemesis Carine Roitfeld.
Just when I was complaining that Vogue Paris is looking more and more like Vogue US with their celebrity covers, I may have found the reason why. Vogue Paris has became Carine’s training field for her future position: editor in-chief of Vogue US. It seems that recent cut backs in advertising and closing down Vogue Men made Wintour the perfect candidate for a downgrade. Hence, a dignified resignation. Could this be true? While everyone was waiting for Vogue Russia’s Aliona Doletskaya, Carine was making her own way to the States? (via)

Stéphanie de Monaco For Vogue Paris December January 2008 2009
December 2nd, 2008 by kpriss
Vogue Paris loves attention more than anything. More than fashion. What would Carine do if she was told to manage an un-shocking issue, non-smoking and 100% dressed? Resign?
December-January 2008 2009 Vogue Paris has landed Stéphanie de Monaco for the cover. Not a model. Unless making it into the ranks of the catwalkers by royal pedigree means counts for anything. Not a celebrity, unless the above. Not a notable person or personality unless the above. So what’s this Vogue Paris issue all about? Rich, tattooed, tired looking smokers? Célébrités francophones? Troubled Times: Puma Goes From Sneakers To Gingerbread!
December 2nd, 2008 by kpriss
If you thought mushrooms could be the craziest display in a sneakers store, Puma’s here to prove you wrong!
A perfectly respected sportswear brand, Puma, goes for something more traditional with Gingerbread! A huge billboard where you can spot from sidewalk preachers to rats not forgetting Legally Blonde’s Elle Woods or graffiti artists, from yellow cabs to dog walkers, Puma makes a ginger-parody out of New York’s Bleecker Street. I don’t know if they’ll actually sell gingerbread in Puma stores this Christmas, what I do know is marketing is going over the top to boost sales. Is this a Manhattan exclusive? Will every ad campaign make a subtle return to core values from now on? (click the picture to see larger image) (via)
Cate Blanchett Does Vogue UK In January 2009
December 2nd, 2008 by kpriss
It’s that time of the month when we review the upcoming issues from our favorite magazines. Because we can, and because it’s worth talking about these absolutely superficial, completely stylish and decadently fashionable magazines!
After that magic December issue, Vogue UK starts the New Year showing the unexpectedly fresh attitude of a regal face: Cate Blanchett. As I’ve said it before, I like Cate. Her versatility, her art of being natural and almost shy, discrete and so impossible to overlook. It’s not an issue meant to sweep you off your feet. I’d say it’s more a quiet, tranquil and pleasant issue, perfect for the Holidays hangover. After that Fashion Fantastic December UK Vogue, this January 2009 comes like a disappointment?
