What is it about Sofia Coppola that gives such an aura of cool and romantic, of girly and un-shallow at the same time? Whatever it is, the lady has a class of her own and it was about time Vogue acknowledged it. Sure it’s still a movie that’s bringing Sofia Coppola to light and not a random merit ‘because she’s worth it’ but we’re used to that by now, right? We only focus on people when they become relevant. It’s how the fast, modern times work. Sadly.

But you know, Sofia is really worth it. She’s worth every profiling, every spotlight, every accolade. She’s a woman with a notorious name/pedigree who worked herself up on the ladder in her own way. In her own terms. More: she’s a woman in her (beautiful) 40s who can make it on the cover of Vogue without making it about her age (take note, Anna)!

We live in fast times, my dahlings. And although everyone knows the chaos that is the Fashion Week, every season, the ever growing need to clone or multiply one’s intellectual receptors as to cover every show, concentrate reviews and short guides are still in high demand. Because, honestly, once the Fashion Week craze wraps up, nobody has time and disposition to watch all the shows endlessly. Quick and complete, that’s what I’ll do.

From StyleFrizz’s perspective, the Haute Couture collections (and designers) have clearly separated in two distinct camps: the elegant/Red Carpet/classic camp and the young/unisex/active camp. One of the main differences? Where the Classic Couture Camp will use sheer and transparency, the Active Camp will straightforwardly show the skin (don’t stop here, there’s so much more after the jump!)

Days ago, just before Easter, I came across a picture of Marilyn Manson in what appeared to be a Saint Laurent ad. I was partly shocked, partly in denial so I moved on. Today I forcefully became aware of the reality I wasn’t allowing myself to acknowledge days earlier: Marilyn Manson is, indeed, part of the Spring Summer 2013 Saint Laurent Paris Ad Campaign.

There’s more: also starring in the same campaign are Courtney Love, Kim Gordon, Ariel Pink. All shot by Hedi Slimane, biensur. The grand Yves Saint Laurent has never been a rock’n’roll stranger, having dressed the iconic Mick Jagger for his wedding to Bianca. But this is a tad too much, though. This is like working too much on a potentially inspiring concept – exhausting the inspiration and transgressing into obsession.

Remember when Harper was born, proud daddy David Beckham had his soccer shoes printed with her name, not just her siblings’ names? And not just that, but his soccer shoes were actually pink?

After three boys, David Beckham and his wife, Victoria, were finally blessed with a little girl. The joy! As a mother, I can absolutely relate to that as I know how it felt, having our little girl after two boys! And I can still remember how we were, both me and the proud daddy when the doctor let us know it was a girl! We barely touched ground!

This is one of those ‘style by request’ moments in which I’m trying to fulfill one of the fashion wishes one of the StyleFrizz.com readers expressed. This time, it’s about Samantha Barks and a dress she was wearing during the Oscars stage performance of Les Miserables.

Samantha Barks was one of the revelations of this awards season. Of this movie season, actually. The young British Actress who has starred in Les Miserables as Eponine, made such a huge impression on the Red Carpet that everyone started inquiring about her, her style and whereabouts.

During the 2013 Oscars, she gave a wonderful stage performance, with her Les Miserables co – stars. Which brings me to the dress in question: for the Oscars stage performance, Samantha Barks was wearing a blue dress signed Jenny Packham, from the Fall 2013 collection.

By choosing a black dress, Adele must’ve pleased all those who disagreed of her colorful Valentino Grammy dress. Although it was, again, a lace dress, being a black one felt more suitable for Adele’s classic taste and style.

However, as we’ve seen on countless lovely ladies on this 2013 Oscars Red Carpet, Adele’s black lace dress was also a custom made, Jenny Packham’s designs featuring countless lace & beads designs, but none exactly like the one Adele was wearing tonight!

I’ll start tonight’s modest Oscars 2013 Red Carpet report with Jessica Chastain. The lady really got it right this time! Her custom made Armani Prive bronze dress is fitting, complimenting and absolutely ravishing!

Also, judging from what I saw on tonight’s Red Carpet, it’s all about Old Hollywood glamour ladies! Loooong tresses, a lot of extensions happening, a lot of bling and couture – ish dresses! Jessica Chastain, my dahlings, is just the beginning of a long glam road paved with sequins and nothing but stunning ladies wearing beautiful gowns!
