Vivienne Westwood Fall 2010 Accessories Ad Campaign

How do you feel about Vivienne Westwood? I wholeheartedly love her! For the woman she is, for the activist she wants to be and for the fashionista she was born to be!

That being said, I really don’t understand why she goes with Juergen Teller for her campaigns! There she goes at it again, for the Fall Winter 2010 2011 ad campaign, at least as far as the Accessories campaign goes. It’s Juergen, but the result is so much more superior to what Marc Jacobs has displayed earlier. With Vivienne Westwood, every picture tells a story. These ones, it appears, tell the story of Leonard Peltier. Activism much? (via)

Kate Moss For Balmain Fall 2010 Ad Campaign

We all know how Kate Moss is busy, busy, busy. She still has time to honor her fashion engagements (besides her commercial ones). The first image from her fall winter 2010 2011 ad campaign for Balmain is now available.

Though I would’ve easily sworn it was Terry Richardson’s deed or, better – Juergen Teller, the campaign was shot by Inez and Vinoodh. (I sometimes sit and stare for minutes at a picture – especially from ad campaigns – wondering what the message would be. Since it only looks lazy to me, I can only hope it appeals differently to you – what do you see in this image?) (fd via fc)

Marc Jacobs Bang Perfume For Men Ad Campaign

Much from Juergen Teller’s work reminds of Terry Richardson’s. And that’s not a good thing. I admit it’s a subjective point of view and as a fashion bystander I sometimes go (just) skin deep into some issues.

Talking about skin. Have you noticed Marc Jacob’s Bang ad? Bang is Marc’s latest perfume for men and advertising it he found nothing more suitable than his very own (clothesless) persona. Oiled and laid back. And even though he said this was his associate’s idea, I’m having difficulties in discarding the heavy deja-vu feeling (and the greasiness of it all) – remember this? and this? What do you make of Juergen Teller’s Marc Jacobs Bang Perfume Ad? (just in case: the perfume drops on July 30 in stores and it’ll be accompanied by a very aggressive campaign with yes, this very image!) (via)

Marc Jacobs And Louis Vuitton’s 2009 Bunny Ears Story Ft Madonna

There’s something strange about Marc Jacobs’ design ways! (almost) Everything he touches turns into golden sand castle. But rest assured, there’s no sand castle, be it gold, that’ll hold up to the next season’s sea of trends! So we should be safe from this rabbit-ears infection next year (and, maybe, this year’s LV ad-solarization wouldn’t hit next year’s Ad Campaign also)

Yes, he invents the wheel with every passing season, but it’s not a life-lasting wheel, unfortunately. Marc Jacobs is a prisoner of trends. Trendier he gets, the easier it would be for his followers to get over him.

He goes so well with Juergen Teller’s photo style, it would’ve been impossible not to pair them up: it shines so much and it’s so weirdly catching your attention, you can’t overlook it. (have you noticed that the LV Fall 2009 Ad Campaign looks bizarrely Teller-ish positioned even if its photographer it’s Meisel?) But once you turn the page, Juergen Teller’s photo is long gone from your visual memory! Now let’s give it to Marc Jacobs himself explaining the hows and the whys of Bunny Ears 2009! (and to her Madgesty to do the precious like nobody’s business!) (via)

Angela Lindvall’s Jimmy Choo Fall 2009 Ad Campaign

How do you know it’s already fall? Despite of my wanting to not separate from my summer attires, throughout the long fall and winter seasons I keep dreaming about wearing sandals. Jimmy Choo Fall Winter 2009/2010 campaign makes my dreams come true!

Because you don’t have to stop wearing sandals even if it’s fall! Because, in the comfort and chaleur of your own home, you can wear as many high heeled sandals as you please! As demonstrated by Terry Richardson’s lenses, Angela Lindvall’s gorgeous long legs and the Jimmy Choo label on the sole of the sandals! (the story continues with more images right after the jump!)

i-D Sigrid, Raquel, Tasha In June July 2009!

i-D’s 300th issue is celebrated with three different covers. In content and styling also. Sigrid Agren by Alasdar McClellan is the first wink and her cover looks like just pulled out of an i-D winking photo booth.

Tasha Tilberg by Kayt Jones in black and white: the strong contrast, the styling made this cover breathtakingly beautiful. As for Raquel Zimmerman’s cover, shot by Juergen Teller, it really isn’t my favorite but I’ll try to give it a wink, just because I really loved the previous two i-D covers! (the story continues right after the jump with more pictures)

Daisy Lowe For Marc By Marc Jacobs Spring Summer 2009 Advertising Campaign

Everyone talked about it, everyone was impatient to see her. Now here she goes – Daisy Lowe for Marc By Marc Jacobs Spring Summer 2009 Ad campaign. Only one photo was released so far, but it’s enough to see where things are going under Juergen Teller’s lens.

I can’t say I miss the last BrianBoy-ish ad campaign with skirts and bows, but I don’t feel too enthusiast about this one either. Marc loves telling stories one way or the other, but this bed sheet story, me don’t like it. Cliché, tired, this kind of pose seems to be a designers favorite these days. Don’t you just miss Posh? Marc Jacobs Undresses For Graffiti New Collection In Harper’s Bazaar January 2009

I often ask myself what makes Marc Jacobs so popular and loved? He’s up and down fashion creativeness isn’t one of the reasons, I’m sure!

Now I think I know the answer – his nude posing! Marc Jacobs loves to expose himself. Ever since he lost his chubby appearance, his adoration for his new body is unbelievable. Now he tagged himself with Louis Vuitton à la Graffiti style and posed with a reinvention of late Stephen Sprouse’s Graffiti LV series. The shot wasn’t wrapped up by Juergen Teller, as you may think (or suspect from the looks of it) but by Terry Richardson.(more after the jump)
