Penelope Cruz, Pregnant Again. Here’s The Baby Bump To Prove It!
March 15th, 2013 by kpriss
We’ve had that talk so many times, that it seems utterly unreal to bring it on again! And still – Penelope Cruz, my dahlings, is pregnant again! Expecting her and husband’s Javier Bardem second child.
Here she goes, in all her pregnant glory, having fun on the beach in Barbados! Must be nice that both sisters are pregnant at the same time: both Penelope and her younger sister, Monica will give birth this year. Monica chose IVF to make that longtime dream come true and seems a bit more advanced into her pregnancy than Penelope.

Cara Delevingne Advertising The New YSL Baby Doll Mascara
March 14th, 2013 by kpriss
As I was on the lookout for a new mascara (any ideas?) and felt in the mood for a change (I usually only swore by Lancome’s mascaras, but I decided I wanted to try something else), I noticed this particular piece of mascara news: YSL is launching a new mascara!
Suggestively named Baby Doll, the new Yves Saint Laurent mascara is set to launch in May but the ad campaign is already making the rounds of the interwebs. And naturally so since it stars none the other but the most sought-after model of the moment, Vogue cover girl Cara Delevingne.

Milou Van Groesen Flawless Fashion: Vogue Netherlands April 2013
March 14th, 2013 by kpriss
You asked me what mom-hair was. I thought I’d better show you the mom-hair rather than just talk about it, describing this or that cut. The ‘soccer mom hair’, as it was originally labeled by some hair stylists and compared to the haircut made popular by the entertainment mogul, Martha Stewart.
So when you think (soccer) mom hair, think of a medium haircut, right above the shoulders, layered and usually framing the face, with or without bangs. Straight, wavy or curly, the mom haircut is no more than a comfy haircut.
Low maintenance, chic, flattery and versatile, here’s the mom hair on yet another Vogue cover: Milou Van Groesen in Vogue Netherlands April 2013.

Alicia Keys Tour Costumes: Akris, Herve Leger, Michael Kors, Maison Michel
March 14th, 2013 by kpriss
We talked about Rihanna and her new world tour having already kicked off with a stunning wardrobe signed by Riccardo Tisci under the Givenchy creative umbrella. Ella, ella.
Impatiently waiting for the new Samsung Galaxy IV release tonight, I was checking out the competition and discovered that Alicia Keys, who is an extraordinary ambassador for BlackBerry kicked off her own world tour! And – what do you know? – she has her own outstanding wardrobe for this tour! Great fashion brands like Akris, Herve Leger, Michael Kors and Maison Michel have been rounded up for Alicia’s tour costumes.

Father&Daughter Style: David Beckham With Little Harper
March 14th, 2013 by kpriss
Remember when Harper was born, proud daddy David Beckham had his soccer shoes printed with her name, not just her siblings’ names? And not just that, but his soccer shoes were actually pink?
After three boys, David Beckham and his wife, Victoria, were finally blessed with a little girl. The joy! As a mother, I can absolutely relate to that as I know how it felt, having our little girl after two boys! And I can still remember how we were, both me and the proud daddy when the doctor let us know it was a girl! We barely touched ground!

Vogue US Michelle Obama April 2013 Cover. Reality Vs Fashion
March 14th, 2013 by kpriss
Michelle Obama. Covering Vogue US’ April 2013 issue! An event in itself, without being fashion-related or style-imposed. It’s a fact. A reality. Thankfully!
I was really surprised to see, though, that it wasn’t a well-received cover. That the fash-population is judgmental. Everything pledges against The First Lady, should she stand on fashion-trial: the style jury is looking away in a profound and unanimous yawn. I’m flabbergasted. Appalled. And, finally, resigned. It’s a mom-thing! Do you know that one of the reasons why this cover look was deemed unworthy of fashion praise was Michelle Obama’s mom hair?

Marc Jacobs Designs Diet Coke Bottles. Finally!
March 13th, 2013 by kpriss
We may not agree on everything, but we do agree that Marc Jacobs is a fashion genius. Everything he puts on the catwalk sells out, spreads out. Instantly. Certainly.
It’s only natural that he assumes his newest mission, as a Diet Coke creative director with the highest expectations. Other fashion luminaries have done it before him but Marc was chosen for a very special edition: the 30th anniversary of Diet Coke! Thus he imagined a bottle for every decade, with different prints & different designs, three young ladies having all the fashionable fun of their times all in enjoying the privileges of Diet Coke.

Eva Mendes New Role In Vogue Eyewear 2013 Ad Campaign
March 13th, 2013 by kpriss
Although I’m really looking forward to the premiere of her upcoming movie ‘The Place Beyond the Pines’, I’ll have to settle for another kind of role Eva Mendes is playing this year: Vogue Eyewear 2013 ambassador!
You may remember that the grand Kate Moss did their campaigns for the last couple of seasons and, although I only think the best of her, a change is more than welcome! Eva Mendes is – undoubtedly – one of the most gifted actors of her generation. Actually, her co – starring with real-life boyfriend Ryan Gosling and Oscar nominated Bradley Cooper in ‘The Place Beyond the Pines’ is what will make that movie so grand: a trio of incredibly talented young actors with such an amazing talent for both drama and comedy!
