It may not be what everyone expects from them – a wedding, that is – but the news headlines still feature Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s names associated with an interesting piece of information about their latest wine ventures!
In short: Angelina and Brad own a French vineyard in a valley next to Chateau Miraval. The produce of that particular vineyard was engaged in business partnership with Marc Perrin, the owner of Chateau de Beaucastel spawning a particular rosé wine called ‘Miraval Rosé 2012’. Only 6,000 bottles were offered for sale at a 105 euros / bottle (apx $137 at current exchange rate) and – guess what? – it all sold out in 3 hours!
The domain, as far as the gossip news go, is only leased by the famous golden couple while the region itself was famous for a certain rosé wine called ‘Pink Floyd’. Whether the new Jolie Pitt beverage will outshine the old wine fame, it remains to be seen. After all, if they’ll be retiring from acting as they’ve been repeatedly declared, every other business endeavor helps in maintaining the high life profile (Chateau Miraval is an exquisite piece of property with more than thirty rooms, not to mention the endless acres of surrounding domain and vineyard valleys! And that is just one of the properties owned / leased by the Jolie – Pitt couple, not to mention what bringing up / educating six kids means to a family’s budget!).
Brad has made a nice $7Million from his Chanel deal, so they seem to transform everything they touch in gold…
