Look who’s doing a 2013 cover! Kristen Stewart! Maybe the rumors were true, and despite the fact that a random title claimed, for The Twilight Saga a ‘worse movie series of all times’ (of ALL times) label, Kristen is trying to shoot for an award.
And no, not with Twilight. Kerouac’s On The Road is what everyone (behind Kristen) hopes it will be her ticket for an award this season. I haven’t seen it, personally, so I can’t judge her acting and if it would really be taken into consideration for the upcoming awards, but – who knows? After all, even if Natalie Portman has been voted the highest earning actor nowadays, Kristen Stewart secured a second position (as Forbes reported, for every dollar, Natalie Portman returns $42.79 for the studios while Kristen Stewart returns $40.60) which sends all kinds of message for all kinds of audiences.
If anything – Kristen Stewart is here to stay! So we better hit the jump and see the wonderful job Inez and Vinoodh did with Kristen for V Magazine’s 81 issue: the Spring issue. (click here for the gallery!)
Simple images trying to instigate and capture every ounce of expression on Kristen’s face. Every muscle’s imperceptible reaction on Kristen’s unique expression. And – given the subject and the circumstances – I really think Inez and Vinoodh deserve sincere, enthusiast standing ovations for the end result!
The images are simply flawless. Although they feel like a series of chained images, with pretty much the same clothes and overall the same styling, photographers, editors and stylist alike managed to pull more than just a singular, teen-ish reaction from young Miss Stewart. I sometimes wonder why they’re trying so hard with her… (It’s rhetorical.)
Thank you, V magazine! Thank you Inez & Vinoodh! The visual experience was really something worth considering. From a fashion / style point of view. We’ll see – in less than a week time – if movie critics are Kristen – sensitive!
