So here’s how they dress for graduation in Ukraine, huh? Meet Anastasia who just attended the festivities for High School Graduation dressed in a Dolce & Gabbana lookalike dress.(there must be something Dolce in the air – here I am talking about the Italian label again – wink)
Unarguably a good looking young lady who spends hours on the fash interwebs and who decided to be crowned as the most fashionable graduate in her school. She became the most controversial graduate instead as Russian media was all over the event (as reported by AnimalNY) and made a matter of national concert out of the see through black lace dress (not to mention that the buzz created sent Anastasia’s mom to the ER with heart issues).
Sadly, this appears to be what the teen queen had in mind all along. The media is pretty much caught in the spider web she cleverly set for the world – Anastasia has what she was looking for in the first place: attention (and a sugar daddy, probably).
And, once more, I’m turning to Tom Ford (who had the courage to spill the truth beans) and his now – famous catwalk – real life clothes rapport: after watching show after show, season after season, people still get back to their trusted jeans & tees. Otherwise, they’d be like Anastasia here… (just a side note – this is what happens when you take fashion too seriously!)

I saw a teen girl, I believe with her mother, in the supermarket yesterday in a black dress with visible underwear and flipflops!!! It’s this summer teen’s fashion.

These girls can not be blamed to be inspired by what they see all the time in the media whether it’s fashion (magazines), movies and not to forget a lot of female entertainers. Ja, ja……;)

cropped tops & leggings were the absolute peak of that back in my teen days. Now it’s beach covers and swimsuits! Yay! “Oh what a world we live in…”
