Being a style icon at 90 is definitely something to look up to! Iris Apfel, adorably eclectic and unconventionally stylish has put together a really lovely collection with MAC Cosmetics.
The 20 – piece collection received very interesting, exotic names (“Early Bird”, “Toco Toucan”) in an effort to render Iris Apfel’s fashion. Available this January, this is one of MAC’s collections that I’d love to have, even if I’m not an assiduous makeup user. And I have Iris to “blame” for that – she seems to be such a cheerful spirit!
Bright and bold has rarely been given such catchy names! MAC Iris Apfel’s lipsticks go for $14.50 and here’s what the label reads: Flamingo for a luscious bright coral; Party Parrot for a matte bright red pink; Pink Pigeon for a matte bright pink; Morange for –what else- orange which will also remain in MAC’s permanent collection; Scarlet Ibis for a matte orange red.
Three nail polishes with fancy names and bright to match the rest: Oriele Orange, Sandpiper and Toco Toucan. Three lip pencils (Embrace Me, Entertain Me, Redd), Eyeshadow (Diamond Dove, Early Bird, Howzat, Robins Egg, Silver Gull) and a Too Chic powder.
All the items in the collection were produced in a limited edition, save for the Morange joyful orange lipstick which will remain available permanently.
