I had this thing on my mind for few days and thought, maybe, you will also enjoy it? It’s an entirely different thing from what we’re used to seeing / hearing on Friday. Yes, basically being published on a Saturday is already different, I know, but bear with me, you’ll see why it’s so special in the first place!
We’ve all heard about Kate and Laura Mulleavy, the Rodarte sisters. And we’re just as marveled as the rest of the world with their each and every show. Because they’re pretty special in the designers scene and their inspiration is overwhelming, influencing the fashworld to pieces. So here’s their favorite music, the Rodarte sisters favorite five songs! Starting with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Here Comes My Girl. Click through to discover the rest!
Their second pick was Elvis‘ Blue Moon, their third comes from The Doors – The End, the fourth is Roger Miller‘s Oo de lally as for their fifth choice is Star Wars Theme as composed by John Williams.
I wonder if this would really help us understand Rodarte more. But even if it doesn’t explain Rodarte’s functioning, at least we know what inspires the Mulleavy sisters! All that because of a Radio Show I treasure and a station I listen to all the time: KCRW. They have a Guest DJ Project program and, guess what, the Mulleavy sisters were on! So if you’re interested in what they had to say about the music, the whys and the hows of picking these five favorite songs, do head over to KCRW to check it all out! And hopefully you’ll become a fan too!
