Georgia May Jagger’s Rimmel Ad Banned

Oh, I’ve been waiting for something like this to happen for an eternity! A mascara ad has finally been punished, banned, executed for being untruthful towards the end customer.

Starring Georgia May Jagger, the 1-2-3 Looks Mascara from Rimmel ad print was showing a three staged mascara magic performed by the new Rimmel product. However, at closer inspection, on the left lower extremity of the poster is a very small inscription reading “shot with lash inserts”. Receiving complains about the fake visuals, the Advertising Standards Authority has commanded Coty to not show the ad in its current form ever again. Hurray for normal people and normal lashes! Don’t you just feel good about your lashes? (via)

Would be great if they banned all the lying ads and commercials about lushes eyelashes and hair that moves in slow motion, creams that promise youth forever and recommend by a young model….

It took me a long time but can’t be bothered anymore to walk care free with my white eyelashes being a ginger. It makes me sort of proud to be real. :)
