Would You Wear Boots In Summer?

I asked myself this question a couple of times over and I can’t find the resources to pull a positive answer. I have my favorite biker boots ready, starring at me and I only remember wearing them once in the summertime when I went to the movies. At night. Such a brave girl!

So when I saw these Fendi knee-high beauties I though (besides the obvious label wrong) that whoever is at the other (charming, I’m sure) end of the boots must have had a heavy training. For wearing boots in the hot summertime. In the city. So, for those of you out there who are brave enough to make the boot-summer-move, please share your thoughts and motivation! (photo via)

I won’t and I just had a dispute with my best friend yesterday because she keeps insisting on buying another pair of boots to wear it during summer. She is a fashion victim and she will make any sacrifice. Last year she complained sometimes cause her feet are sweating in those boots, well yeah were + 40 degrees Celsius outhere, but she wants to do the same thing this year. It’s just beyond my understanding….

I wear ankle boots in summer. And other boots too. I’ve lived in Spain for some time and wore boots. Almost daily these great Spanish boots (I still love despite their worned out look) those Fendi can not beat! (They’re cute though.) Matched them with summer clothing. Very comfortable on the rocks and sand. It never felt or feels like a sacrifice.
And I am far from a fashion victim. It’s pathetic to be one in my view.

I think there’s at least one good thing about the world wide recession: the season madness is gonna stop for us mere mortals who cannot afford all these stuff. The 90’s nonsense when everyone thought all was possible has become a huge joke. We do not need new pieces every season and I’m sick of designers who show their “next year collections”. Who’s able to pay that? Who wants to be longer dictated? And who knows what next year brings? Not I!
I see how young girls start to sew and knit again. Good, capitalism is dead!!! They can manage to look great without these greedy people who killed the economy with their speculations with non-money.
End of rant.

Yes I would as it sometimes depends on the weather and the outfit. Nothing wrong with it!
:)
The Fendi boots are cute but I am not a fan of the billboard label going down the side. :P

LOL! Bought myself some new RayBan’s. Aviators and another great pair. I’ve dropped my aviators often but it’s not wise to sit on them…:( What this has to with the topic? Ellington’s fault. ;) They had to remove that logo on the glasses!!! People still don’t get it: “But that’s why people buy them!”. No, only I buy them because they’re great. I feel silly being a walking billboard. I find it vulgar and above all so last decade! :P
