Tattoos Versus Art. Amanda Wachob

I’ve been on a tattoos hunt for so many years, I’ve come to learn some of the most bizarre and some of the most artsy of the field. But I still have many miles to read until reaching the “nothing surprises me anymore” threshold.

Today’s new Tattoos episode is honored to showcase Amanda Wachob’s special artistic works. From abstract to conceptual, Amanda Wachob’s tattoos stretch your imagination and make you dream of erasing the fine boundaries keeping art separated from tattoo. (the story continues with more images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!)

Amanda Wachob uses the human body as her own canvas, swapping the traditional tattoos techniques for a new and innovative but highly delicate one. She’s using water colors to put her imagination on people’s skin and the result is not bad at all.

She’s not just a tattoo artist, Amanda, oh no! She’s a tireless artist, with regular exhibitions in galleries all over the world. But that doesn’t stop her from splashing her talent on people’s skin (besides experimenting with a superior aesthetic, completely risk free, regret free and pain free). No. Judging by the examples hereby, we’d be tempted to believe they’re complimentary – tattoos and art. Are they, really? (via)

I do not sport any tattoo. I’m not looking forward to sagging skin with a tattoo and they’ve become a tad common for my taste…..but these are really beautiful. I’m almost tempted!

I am not a fan of tattoos myself and Adriana I way agree with you about why not. These are very beautiful and if they are not forever (they are not are they?) then I could see the allure of such beautiful artistry and skill. :)

That’s my tattoo! Lol I am the proud owner of the mango tattoo. Amanda is one of the most unique and talented tattoo artists out there, and I’m so happy to wear her work!
