How To Take Care Of Your Boots, The Hermes Way!

It’s the season! Though the pleasure of wearing boots has a fashionable excuse for every season, now is the time to prove that your boots were made for walking!

What’s the best care for your boots? Coming straight from the Hermes maitres:
You must never wear the same footwear two days’ running. […] You must let your boots rest and never leave the leather close to a source of heat. Stuff the boots with newspaper and let them dry naturally, then nurture them with a cream and then a wax. Treat them as well as you would your own skin.

Yes good advice, but this is obviously not advice to be taken if you live in a winter clime and you have to wear your boots every day outside.

Jaja, I know that all and even more….what about the impregnation spray Hermes maitres? Or is that the wax? I use also ehhh…..boots….ehhhhh….well, those things to keep them standing straight up. Same for some shoes. (Dictionary leaves me in the blind!)
Ellington, agree. Not all of us have several boots we can change which are wearable for very bad wheather!!!

My footwear is pampered like babies! :)

OK, I don’t stuff mine with newspaper or nurture them with cream … but I do the rest!
