Kpriss, I understand the worries of a mother. Though this Vogue would be the least of all my worries. Look at other female magazines, the commercials on tv, movies, news-papers, the news itself and so many other things......how to answer all those questions?

I agree with Wilson what he stated about Japan. It's always been a part of their culture. That's true. I wonder too is there any straight guy that buys Vogue? Even my dearest gay friend likes Health or GQ or Vogue for women! :)

I named it "double lives" because I understand people does not come that easily forward with some of the ways they like to recreate because our society is often so judgemental or scared for people that are "different".

I can cope with double lives (or wherever these SM-ish representations could be categorized). The issue is generalization. Throwing something like that in the faces of everyone. Straight or not. Double existence or not. You know, the Batman-ish like cover could make a little boy dream about having (or at least) opening that magazine! Then what? How do you explain double lives?

I sometimes think too much like a mother; however that proves to be somewhat better than it actually seems. You always have to be prepared to answer a child's question. And you always have to expect a child to be imitative.

Now getting back to this Vogue. To the pictorial itself. There are images I credit with an artistic feeling. People do a lot of things behind closed doors, however. But that's why they're closed. It's the unnecessary, uncalled for dimension of these photos that actually worries me. I don't eat unless I'm hungry. So why should those closed doors open?

There are people who love SM. SM is not a gay thing girls! I guess Vogue Hommes Japan is this month for the fashionable SM-lover in general?
Do you remember how many straight men replied to that Xdress Men Lingerie? Don't label people because you never know what happens behing closed doors and fanatasies that comes alive........

None.
My brothers read Esquire and GQ. This magazine is not geared at a straight man.

If a straight man buy this, he would be crazy about all style and stuff, which is way more like a gay man.
