Oh , I have not seen Bride Wars but the reason for that is Kate Hudson. I simply don’t get her or find her as funny and charming as her Mom Goldie was in those types of films.

There is one live action film version of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass that I like.
It has Kate Beckinsale in it as Alice. She is an adult but it is well acted and the cast is pretty amusing. :) Also as Alice moves from place to place in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass her clothing changes to suit the mood and atmosphere she is dealing with. Give it a gander if you get the chance. :)

I like Anne she does reasonable work. I have never heard being compared to Audrey Hepburn though that is news to me. I have heard of Audrey Tautou and Natalie Portman being compared to Audrey Hepburn.
I enjoyed The Devil Wears Prada a lot. I found it funny and ironic. Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci made that film for me, they were stellar!
Now Zooey she is great I love her and she is talented! She always seems to play the pretty quirky girl in her movie roles.

P.S. I’ve ordered Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass in english and with a hard cover and illustrations! I shall cherish my cheap paperback copies but I remember the real ones from the hospital library with a hard cover and beautiful illustrations but they were translated in Dutch. I can read them now in english. YAY!

Sorry, I don’t get the fuss around Anne Hathaway either. To me she’s overrated. I think -until now- that she’s a mediocre actress and she’s pretty but so are many girls and women I know. I find Anne boring. Even in the Devil Wears Prada beside Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt stole the show totally for me. I also don’t understand why people do compare her to Audrey Hepburn!! Or call her a “visagist dream”…..???
LOL, I don’t get the hoopla about both actresses!
Well, we cannot always agree do we? And so what?

Hm.. I might have rushed into it. But seeing her starring in numerous flicks for girls had me thinking she’s into this kind of movies. And I admit I have avoided her drama parts (the one she was awarded for) because I read her acting was unconvincing. Then again, I should be blasting some shallowness on my own character judgment since I polished Emma so much because I like HP so much.

Even if I enjoyed Anne’s performance from the legendary Prada devil thing, she was playing in the shadow of two most wonderful actors I simply love (who stole the show anyway). While I can’t point a recent Emma movie, I can talk about how bored I felt watching Bride Wars. There’s something curious about Anne’s acting, now that I come to think about it. She’s not a bad actor, that’s obvious, but something’s itchy about her performance and I can’t put my finger on it. I may be old school, but I think Zooey Deschanel makes a better Anne (correct me if I’m wrong, I haven’t looked into it properly – Zooey comes from the same generation as Anne?)

I am looking forward to this immensely and Alice in and Wonder land and Through the Looking Glass is still one of my favourite books! I studied it in university and grew up reading it.
All of the actors look quite whimsical and stellar (but I expect no less from Tim Burton)!
But come on Kpriss you call Anne Hathaway’s performances shallow?!! But yet you wax lyrical over the one performance of Emma”Hermione” Watson? I know that you are not a fan of her work but to call her shallow is a bit much, I’d say.

It’s still the same Alice in Wonderland! But how could it look the same when it’s done by Burton? It so rightfully becomes Burton’s Wonderland! A limitless, passionfull CGI/animation empire with Johnny, Helena & co!

Oooohhhhhh…..I feel like the 8 year old complete under the spell of Alice adventures. In my language it was simply named “Alice in Wonderland”. I’ve read it sneaky under the sheets in a hospital during hours it wasn’t allowed to read. The sweet nuns, yes, not all R.C. are bad(!!) always shakes their heads and just smiled sweet. I’m still thankful to this ladies.

We’ve to wait a year to see this beauty? OMG, the looks! That must be something miraculous! Look at that!
Hahaha, I’m really in awe…impressed? I can’t even describe how I feel looking a this: so magical and very inspiring for me personally.
