lacroix coutureChristian Lacroix’ style may be incredible, but that much mixing touches even the master! Reportedly selling zero clothing articles this year, the prestigious House of Lacroix just filed for bankruptcy, filing $14 Million financial loss in 2008. Is that the end for Christian Lacroix Couture house? the first to hit the crisis-dust? Let us hope there’s a Phoenix about to rise from all the Lacroix print mishmash! (Racked)

I’ve never been client of Christian Lacroix but yes, what’s Haute Couture without him?
Like you Kpriss I prefer to view HC more than the too many P-a-P shows. Let alone Resort and Pre-Fall whatever. It has become too much for me….The amount of labels has grown immense. So time will tell who are the real good ones?

If there is no Lacroix HC, I will miss the young and playful part of the HC week. I just really like his creations but well, money’s big part of the industry as well.

I’m still waiting for the official LVMH statement saying that they just bought the major stock chez Lacroix..

I sometimes wonder where would we be if we only had PaP and HC fashion weeks?

This is sad news as I think that he truly is an artist.
On another note what will Edie Monsoon and Patsy Stone do now?
; )
