I’ve always called myself, despite my fashion education, a great seamstress with the right ideas or something like that. Customize clothes, like you want to do Kpriss, got me through poor times looking good! Like when I was at school so I could improve myself even more.
I’ve never told you here that a friend of mine works part-time for Viktor&Rolf did I? We had our education at the same time. I’m happy for her but sometimes….arrgghhh….they phone her when they need extra hands. I type this with a smile so don’t worry, I’m not an envious woman. I’ve asked her if it was allowed I tell this here and she said “Yes, but no details”. So no details….:D

Shteminx I do believe you (btw, congrats! where can we see your designs? I so love young designers! Maybe you could send me something to feature in the Dare to Wear section?) and I wish I could be as convinced as you are. As you know, celeb-designer is a tricky business. One that involves mostly the label and marketing actions around that label.

Adriana, oh how I envy you girls! I wish I could have magic hands, like you! I have a pile of short skirts I don’t wear anymore (too short, too frilly for mum-of-three that I am) and I would like to transform those into dresses for my baby girl! I see the project developing in my mind but when it comes to really doing it…arghhhhh

Yes, that’s how the love starts: sewing your own clothes. My doll(s) were my first “victims”. Then for myself, then for a friend and the ball start rolling on……

Gwen used to sew her own clothes as a teen. She is inspired by things around her and of course if your working with others on your label you will be influenced. I am a designer and I can tell this is her own work

I love Gwen. Her solo albums, perfumes, and her clothing line.
She does have fantastic style, and she always looks comfortable in no matter what she wears. I think that she may have style discussions with the designers that she works with, because I can see her influence in the clothes. Oh and this new collection is lovely! I love all of it!

I’m sure Gwen had help since she has no fashion education? But I like L.A.M.B. and Gwen and always has.
Nice No Doubt is back together though it will be not the same thing. So I better “Don’t Speak” further?
