I do wonder if the super models are back as a hype or because there are a lot of women around who have grown up with these models. They’ve become mothers too, have a career otherwise, or both, so these women can relate more to this models than to the younger ones?
All drugstores have now these enormous PR L’Oreal boards with Linda Evangelista as their face. So (almost) every week I’d ask someone: “Do you know who this is?” Most women don’t! But very surpisingly I’ve had almost four women whom asked me why they’d got rid of Isabella Rossellini for Lancôme! That’s ages ago!!! I’d had to google for this and that was in 1992. What an impact she had!
