Thandie Newton always impressed me. She’s able to impersonate both good and bad characters (movie characters) with such conviction and strength, I admire her when’s she’s on the good side and completely despise her when she’s on the bad.
For the 2009 edition of the Baftas, Thandie managed such a mysterious and breathtaking appearance, I couldn’t overlook it! (there’s also a video after the jump, so don’t miss it!)
I’m all against black at a formal event, even if it’s a perfectly safe choice. But Thandie’s black strapless dress with golden stripes is perfect. And she’s perfect wearing it! I don’t know who the designer is (if you have any ideas, let me know!) but doesn’t she look lovely? (photos via celebutopia)
