Adriana, you don’t have to set the record straight. You like GnR, I don’t never did. I never liked the image they put out and some of the lyrics to their songs I found a bit questionable. Axel Rose has not aged well, some people do due to genetics and taking care of themselves, some people don’t due to genetics and not taking care of themselves. Axel to me falls in the latter not the former. Now whether or not Stephanie Seymour is all au natural is a moot point. She is a model and gets air brushed and maybe photo shopped in her photos.
Now as for Axel you found him sexy, I found him and still find him not sexy. Viva la difference!

Ellington, to set the record straight, I still like the Guns’ first album and some songs off their second album. I’ve stopped to follow the band after that line-up quitted or got fired by Axl, whatever…..so we’re talking about 1991/92(?) here?

Yes, of late I’ve seen a photo of Axl. That’s for sure not the same guy we girls found sexy back then….yes, we did. Soit!
It scares me bit that people are judged these days “by ageing well, or not ageing well” to be honest. Are we really sure that Stephanie Seymour is all au natural?

Have to agree with Dolly Bird about Stephanie’s Axel Rose phase.
Talk about gross! I am not a fan of his band either.
Have you seen Axel of late he looks like a 3 car pile up?! The man has not aged well at all!:P

I love everything about this ad – the lighting, the gorgeous pose, the sumptuous frock … but most of all, how healthy and strong and fantastic Stephanie looks. If I look even a quarter so lovely into my 40s, I’ll be delighted.

Oh, ‘November Rain’ is in my errr…top 1000! LOL! I found Axl damned sexy at the time. Sorry….Oh, and that long hair and bandanas look? Do you remember John Galliano some time ago? I thought “Look at that John goes Axl Rose lol!”

Of course you’re right about teen models so I got you drift. But that goes for all girls that age anyway…..
Axl was and is a very complicated person. But one thing, Axl was the only one in the group who was always sober on stage and was despite what his image is not that much involved in drugs and alcohol! Axl only drank tea with honey before a perfomance so the other rougher bands called him a Diva. He’s just complicated and mixed up. Who else hides for so many years when you’ve so much success? Sad though.
Stephanie did for sure better!

Hi Adriana what I meant was I would’nt want any teen model to go through what Stephanie did with Axel Rose. I recall she had a hard time becoz of his habit.I agree with you on the point that she had her Axl period and took it as a lesson in life steering her towards another direction that of a sane lifestyle and motherhood.
I know they made quite a glam couple and altho I wasn’t a Guns & Roses diehard fan some of their songs are memorable and Axel did create a certain look with his bandanas.
I liked November Rain too!

Dolly, I’m glad Stephanie had her Axl Rose period. I still love Guns n’ Roses ‘November Rain’ and the strange video clip was only worth to watch because she was in it!

(These days are over but younger me loved the Guns a lot.)

I haven’t seen the ad campaign yet but judging from this one b/w picture it looks a bit dull.
I like Stephanie and the clothes and I know Mert and whatshisname did the shoots but I wish it was less atheletic and less Avedon.
Coming back to Stephanie yes she’s beautiful and a good role model for aspiring models.Just skip her Axel Rose period!
