Balenciaga girl all the way, Jennifer Connelly goes for Givenchy (Spring Summer 2009) in Japan for the premiere of her last movie – The Day The Earth Stood Still.
But don’t imagine it was a safe choice too! The strange cuts and armor-like top of her black Givenchy dress left me wondering if she wasn’t better in Balenciaga, after all.. At least I was used to that. But this… is just too much for me! I haven’t searched for that movie, see if it’s not a sequel to Battlestar Galactica par hasard… At least I would have made a connection. Do tell me, you find Jennifer looking good in this dress? How about the Givenchy dress? (couldn’t she at least take off those white tags from the sandals?) (photos via justjared)

This look is supposedly bondage inspired, right down to the hair and black polish on her toes. I love it. And the white on her shoes is the design of the shoe, not a tag.

It looks like a glamourised straight jacket to me.
I feel Jennifer should have let her hair down with this dress.It would have softened the severity of the dress.
