I can’t remember her in Troy either. Maybe she should stick to be a model. I loved, like you both, Peter O’Toole and Eric Bana the best. I only remember them. Brad Pitt looked to me like a Greek dressed up Californian surfer back then.

Diane is German and has done some European movies. Nothing worthy to mention since none has been a success.

Troy! I loved Peter O’Toole in that, he was good, and of course Eric Bana and Brad Pitt.
But I forgot Diane was in that, she was Helen right? I do remember Saffron Burrows she played Hector’s wife (Eric Bana) and I felt sad for her as she knew her husband was going to die and then watching him die.
Now Saffron Burrows I like. She does activist work on racism and other charities and is a talented actor.

Oh, no, nothing notable as such (or at least not from official records!). I went for a quick Wikipedia right after seeing your comment just to be sure – and no, there’s no mention of her having any kind of superior education further than 16 years old where she broke off her Ballet studies due to an injury and went for modeling (and then some acting classes further in the mid 90s).

So I guess I’m being highly subjective because I like her…

Oh, and she also made Troy. But there I was most amazed by Peter O’Toole’s character…

Oh I see.
I thought that you meant that she had done some charity work or was involved in a cause of some sort, or she had gone on to university to do a degree? As far as I have seen a lot of models often turn to acting, some are talented and some are dire. Just because one is pretty does not mean that they can or should act.
I have not seen Diane in much, I did see ‘National Treasure’ (it was okay but until you mentioned it I had forgotten she was in it.)

Oh, I don’t know if acting qualifies Diane as more-than-a-pretty-face, but to me, that was it: she didn’t just stood there smiling for a photo, she took things further and became an actress. I haven’t had the pleasure of seeing her in many movies but I do recall her character from National Treasure. And she looked charming, modest and rather convincing to me. And more than just a pretty face.

But I’m always opened to discussions ;)
