The Sartorialist Does Chanel Homme Photos For Fantastic Man Magazine

I believe you heard about, read about, saw about The Sartorialist. At least once. If you read Stylefrizz on a regular basis, you already know how I feel about him.

I wish you share your feelings about the overwhelmingly known Scott Schuman, otherwise called The Sartorialist. Why this? Because I just ran into some pictures taken by him for The Fantastic Man magazine with the new Chanel Homme collection. He’s doing the “Sartorialist”-stylee and he shots à la Scott Schumann. I think it’s overrated and, photographically judging (even with an amateur-ish eye like mine), the pictures aren’t special. But let me hear you out – how do you feel about the Sartorialist-phenomenon and these Chanel Homme pictures? (via)

I have to say that Scott Schumann as well as Perez Hilton (yes, different worlds, I know) deserves some credits for their blogs! Especially Schumann has inspired many fashion bloggers. I’ve to give him that though my days I never skipped his blog are long over.

I like these photos. But its possible I enjoy it to see a male? This is a cute one you see!

I still don’t know who he is and I am happy to say that. If you had not mentioned him I would never have known about him and thought him a model. He is handsome though.

As I wrote I’ve skipped Sartorialist for a loooooooong time. So I was curious what his new found stardom has done to his blog. Yes, it has changed. Not in a way I like. Mr. Schumann does overrate himself a lot too….or its possible I hadn’t notice it before?

I loved his photos of Moscow fashion though a lot. I found them very refreshing and interesting. Due to the people he got in front off his lens. Great looking people with their own individual style. I found this remark very interesting:

“Natasha and the other young ladies from Moscow I have posted so far, to me, represent the new Russian style.
Not that there is a specific “Russian Look” yet but this generation is past worrying about labels, labels, labels and is really embracing the fun and artistry that fashion can provide to our daily lives.”

I’m looking forward to the day we do embrace our own individuality again……
