Everyone (and their dog) has a perfume these days. Everyone knows the ways of fashion and beauty industry so today’s news comes as no surprise: Amanda Lepore, the worldwide reputed transsexual has a perfume.
It’s called Amanda, made by Christophe Laudamiel and it can be bought starting December 6th for $950 a piece from the 5,000 existant. Why so overpriced? Because the limited edition fragrance comes in a highly blinged bottle with 1,000 Swarovksi crystals accompanied by a book with Amanda Lepore’s pictures, signed and numbered by her/himself. Did they only manufacture 5,000 pieces of precious Amanda scent because they don’t think it’ll sell? (via, photos via)

Such a sad fate for such a promising perfume! To end up on a shelf, somewhere… I imagine the likes of LaChapelle won’t really use it, they’ll just buy it for fun…
Part of me just died reading this, but at the same time I love it! Trannys, tacky fragrance, and Swarovski crystals is a three-way match made in heaven! (though I’d never buy it, haha)
