Kris, it’s exactly my case! And the result – I can’t really wear high waist pants, they don’t fit me one bit! But I can go for the high waist skirts!

Tent jeans (;) ) have their charm too. It just doesn’t have to go extreme on the wide leg thing and make it a proper skirt.

Dame Edna’s Albert’s Secret had be thinking about that Saturday Night Fever madness… If you’re thinking that platform shoes are very in this summer, I think it’s a 70s reedit altogether.

Skinny or wide leg, wear them or not, I know I couldn’t really go back to the regular boot cut when I have so many choices right now!

I wonder what should be wrong about high-waist-jeans. I am a slim girl with feminine curves (hips, boobs) and i hate low-cut jeans with passion as they make me look fat (they artificially create love handles, but i can't lose more weight, BMI = 18 already). So I'd love to have higher cut jeans, not necessarily waist cut but at least a liiiittle bit higher. Oh and there are so many girls that shouldnt wear low-cuts... What really shocks me is the general trend in jeans to make them look like tents: I'd feel lost in them. ^^;

Ellington your Victoria’s Secret has me in full blown giggles here!On women there’s the camel toe risk and I remember when men wore them in the 70s with plateform shoes there were embarresing bulges!Albert’s Secret?LOL!

I had a giggle at ‘yor Victoria Secret’ hahaha… But you’re right I do know some ladies who does look great and feminine in the way the wear the low waisted jeans. Not me tho….my mirror screams: “Nooo…”
But you must have seen these people too like Dame Edna has with these ‘ghastly lower than low waisted drainpipes’ brrrrrr….

Okay, yes I think that those high waisted jeans are reprehensible, but what I want to know is this. How come on women they are considered feminine, but when men wear high waisted trousers/jeans/whatever, they are considered old man-grampa- nerd boy pants?
I my self love the low waisted jeans, they can be very feminine, as long as I do not see any part of your “Victoria Secret”. : )

Hello kpriss…Its been going on for 2 years already?!Heavens to Betsy I must have been taking a nap with Sleeping Beauty!Where I hang out everyone’s still in those equally ghastly lower than low waisted drainpipes.Oh well, I look forward to the day when I come across someone wearing these high waisted flared jeans.I’ll think fondly of Stylefrizz.

This one looks very odd to me too. Its a bad cut and it looks cheap to me as well.
I’m 5.7ft not tall, not small, but tall on my high heels. And skinny too….I think that the kind of skirts, pants, jeans you wear has to be chosen by how you’re build, chosen by what you want to express as another example.
I’ve one pair of kinda low-waist of jeans. Only because there were no other ones to get anywhere due to trends!
The enormous influence of trends this last decade annoys me more and more lately. Because there are so many people who think they look good because its a trend! Result: a lot off people does look almost the same and so less does look really good in these dictated trends…..sighs…..

You’re right, Adriana, high waist skirts or pants are feminine, but this particular one looks very odd. It surely not flatters that constitution. I for one am tall, rather skinny (that when I’m not pregnant, of course ;) ) and this kind of jean doesn’t fit me. I’m more of a low-waist girl… And I think that if you wear them well (without showing any skin), low waist jeans can be very flattery on one’s body.

Dame Edna I don’t know what to say.. this trend still goes strong for 2 years already…

Well guys I do love high-waist jeans to bits! I wear them still. Or again. I have a waist you see, one of my best assests and not many girls/women can wear a look like that but I can….I don’t like the butt-cut on this one but overall: I feel more feminine in high-waisted jeans!
But that’s a wrong cut and the model can not pull this one off……
All that flesh that showed with the low-waist jeans, now that was horrifying in my view!
