Kpriss they are re-discovered, okay it’s only for a few years that they will do ads and sometimes edits. Actually this is a slap in the face of the young models of today. The biggest problem they have is that they don’t have any personality, they are promoted by their agencies but no one in the world outside the industry knows who is Daria Werbowy, Agyness Deyn, Sasha P. and so on. If they see an ad of Linda E. or Cindy C. or my beloved Christy T. they remember her name and say yes I know that woman, simply said. Adriana has right we will see again the skinny and young models on the catwalk, but they never will achieve what Linda Spierings or Karen Mulder or whatever model achieved. And that’s respect for what they did during their career.

(no offense, it was “model-talk”. The same way they preferred teens for models, they won’t settle for normal, real women, women with flaws to represent high fashion. And as far as age-oriented-clothes go, I feel just the same – it’s all in the wearer’s taste. I would never settle for some ugly bad made clothes just because they’re in my age range)
oh, Tatjana, I forgot to mention her previously! And she was such a presence!

I did or do love Nadja too and Tatjana Patitz as well. Of course it’s a change at least. I’ve always loved Christy too. Linda is though in the Prada ad campaigns soon. So she’s around.
But I think these women can still do clothes, not only accessories. We women are not dead after 40 if we are lucky of course and can live until 80 or longer! I am not exactly looking forward to the granny clothes…..brrrrr…

At least it’s a change. And I guess it’s their last few years of modeling celebrity. After 40s they can go for jewelry, watches, maybe shoes or purses. And that’s about it (of course, besides the regular photoshop-makeup-advertising). I like Christy as well. I would have loved seeing Nadja, maybe a little Linda too… A bit of “freedom 90″ revisited.

Some of these women are great models. But fashion today drives on fast fashion and hypes. This is one of them until now in my opinion. Only time will tell if this is a change lots of people are waiting for.
We’ll see what the coming up S/S Fashion Weeks will show us: again the skinny teens or women……

This is very good news, because all the celebs and a lot of the models today don’t have any personality. These woman especially Christy T. have it all. For all woman which are a little bit older this have to be a relieve, not the kids/models of 16 or 18 but grown up woman which they can compare themself with and can be an example for them. Fashion isn’t only meant for the younger ones, but more for the older ones, The kids can’t allow the pricetags of the dressess etc, the succesful (business) woman can.
